Ford Performance Vehicles FPV GT Community car club dyno day held at APS Frankston. Cars featured are powered by the factory supercharged Ford Coyote 5.0L, Boss 5.4L and Barra 4.0 turbocharged engines.

What gear do you select when on the dyno?

+Fullboost So fourth gear in a speed. Auto and Manual. I've never seen one on the dyno right in front of me before. Just wondering as I have an Fg Xr6 N/A . ZF six speed. Mods are growler intake, pacemaker comp headers, high flow cat and hurricane cat back exhaust. The engine light recently appeared and it will need a tune. Curious what sort of power it will make.

I own a FPV GS with the miami/coyote, it goes hard as, I love it, but I personally think the Boss 290/315 motors have a better exhaust note.

I totally agree with you on that those N/A BOSS 5.4L always have a nice V8 burble even in stock form. 😎 Whereas the MIAMI 5.0L are dominated by that lovely shrill supercharger whine instead. 😍 It's really take your pick sorta thing. 🤔

@@hendrahendra he is the owner of the black FG or black BF 2 335 5lt or the 5.4 lt supercharged and R spec as well, i believe, i helped him put fuel in his car one day, after i seen that he had a special rack on the roof to help him get the wheelchair off etc. :) Beasts all of them, but one thing is this that all the owners thing their cars are worth more than life itself, but in reality its about what people are realistically going to pay for the if they ever sell it?

Unfortunately importing cars from Australia to the United States is very complicated, expensive and there are severe restrictions. What a shame ... I'm really liking that Barra-Six. I never even knew it existed til I stumbled on this channel.

Bit surprised at many of the 5l sc, the figured look low. Even a 5.4 with cams and exhaust will make 300kw at wheel

The majority of 5 4s we see dont make anywhere near 300...

@@fullboost They've got to be stock with bolt ons. I've seen plenty make 290-300 just on cams, exhaust, upper plenum. With porting 300-355. The 355 is the best so far which was heads @ 325cfm and cams with 280dur. Stock comp. Bluepower were upgrading 5.4's out 300kw at wh NA's often. Not knocking any of the cars it just seemed on average low. Figured most owners may just be keeping them original.

In my opinion the FPVs actually sound better than the HSVs, because the HSVs have the 'generic' muscle car sound, if you know what I mean, i'm not saying that's bad...

Great stuff. The V8's sound pretty good as they've had the exhausts opened up (muffler delete or something), but I've never heard a straight piped Barra Falcon being revved hard, even with all the Falcon videos available on YT. It's a pity. I'd like to hear a 4.0L Barra being revved out past 7000 RPM with straight pipes, preferably using cams with massive lift + duration. Fullboost, would it be possible to arrange a video shoot for something like that?

+Flying Bigfoot Good to hear, things are starting to warm up here in Canada now. I'm excited for the coming summer after a long ass mild, but annoying winter. The weather here has been constantly teasing at warmer days but then right into ass freezing cold. LOL. I hear driving on the right is quickly adopted by people who get on and do it. I think the biggest factor to get used to is shifting with the left hand instead of the right.
