I had two new MK3 Mondeos and a MK4, plus an S Max all made at Genk. All great cars and very well put together.

Thank you Genk for making great cars that I like so much. The movie starts a bit too happy for the moment of making the last cars - the final breath of a mighty, complex and so well organized industrial giant. It was still strong, it wass all young, and the processes were all tuned. I really feel sad when something as beautiful as this has to die.

Love thinking how my S-Max went though the very same procedures in 30. Of November of 2010. It’s an honour to be able to have a quality Genk product! Even after more than 7 years on the road and 225.000 km, nothing raddled, squeaks, rumbles or is broken. Doesn’t feel like a 7 year old car.. and it still smells new! Dank u wel voor mijn S-Max!

hah/ just sold my dad`s 2007 s-max. 93,000 km in 12 years. started to rust however...Latvian winter is too hursh for Ford

I had a Mondeo that was built in Genk, i had it from new and it was superb! They should still be building them there now in my opinion!!

such a big memory for these guys soo much for made my 2008 Ford mondeo such a nice car and buy'it form a dealership it's steady on the road and Light and fast too i love this car and i will Never sale'it cause these cars super reliability but the prices for the parts Now very will it's too much Expensive that i was

Da kommen meine Sierras her, der Mondeo MK2 V6 der hier steht, und wenn man dann so sieht das es vorbei ist in diesem Werk, macht das doch schon etwas traurig.

It was the same when Ford closed the Dagenham plant where I worked for 26 year's!

They didn't film the part when each production worker hung his or her soul on their very own personal peg before entering the factory gates each and every day, year after year. All the time building something they could never themselves afford to buy, unless it was secondhand. Or am I just talking about the British mass production car industry. RIP

So they donated the last two cars. So greedy! In their last 4 days, by running at full capacity, they could make a Galaxy, Mondeo or S-max to give to every worker of this plant. Easily. There were still a lot of parts and materials abandoned in the buildings anyway.
