My 1943 Ford GPW was the first automobile I ever owned and it taught me everything I needed to learn about maintenance and repair with some helpful tips from an old timer at the army motor pool. This video reminds me of my long drives in the mountains of Italy. It ran like a Swiss watch and took me anywhere I wanted to go, even in places where the newer civilian CJ5's would get stuck in the snow in the hills beyond Pescasseroli. Nothing I have ever driven since then has had the same feel.

Wspaniałe uczucie, kiedy po kilkuset godzinach pracy odrestaurowany przedmiot oddaje choć chwilę przyjemności. To jest bezcenne !

It's like you told the story of "retiring in the countryside" for an old war veteran. Already I'm thinking about everything that jeeps headlights and wheels traveled over so many years ago. Best left for the imagination. Beautiful video and well done!

The restoration appears to be just as artistic as the movie. Goregeous! Very well done indeed!

This is the BEST Video and The BEST representation of a Ford GPW I've ever seen and as complete as they come. THANK YOU! for sharing this with all of us. It brings back 30yr old memories of my father and I rebuilding ours.

A beautiful video that needs no words... In the one part at 44 seconds in, it would have been need to see 4 guys in complete combat gear from WWII.... only for that 2 seconds, then at the end those 4 guys walking through that field.. That would have been over the top... None the less, well done... well done....

This is an ABSOLUTE beauty of beauties!!! God, how I wish I could buy and/or restore one!! Unfortunately both are beyond my capabilities: I certainly don't have enough money to buy a restored one (with prices being from 8000 Euro upwards), and I dont't have the: knowlege, skills, tools, spare parts, instructions and workshop, to restore one ... Having one is my obsession (Willys, Bantam, or possibly, at the very worst, even a Hotchkiss M201), but it might be a dream unfulfilled... :-(
