Your liquid test prove the flow stays laminar.. And the air speeds on the short side may be a touch over the center of cylinder but imo this will help on a smaller port with density . similar to a super stock design .unless I'm looking at the wet flow test wrong your not saturating the plug and its not ramming the edge of the combustion chamber ..that's fantastic work sir !!!!!!

As far as air speeds, look at the discharge coefficient, the short side speed may be high, but if the DC is good, then I wouldn't worry too much. Having good short side air speeds will help with overlap, which this head is made for. I'd say you're pretty much almost where you need to be, I agree with the strategy to add a little more swirl. @0:30 you get a good idea of how the air is flowing along the roof. Almost all the flow is going to the left, the bit of blue you see on the cylinder wall side is basically the boundary or edge of the track the air is on. It's not going any further right than that. The bit of radius you put in the chamber helps the air flow that way through the bowl, and your swirl meter backs it up. Follow the light, the light is your guide.

Nice work Charles. Do you know what the cc's are on intake, exhaust and chambers? Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.👍🇺🇸👍

Love watching the videos, very educational….I have a question, on a previous video you place a flow ball in the port and spoke about the air sticking to the short side whiling showing the gains. I completely understand, why can’t the port be altered (by placing a ball in the runner)? to correct the flow
@servediocylinderheads13 күн бұрын
@homotorsports It can be. Usually in the shape of a floor fin. Chad and Eric use them in certain designs. I did a set of Dart 215's I cut for a floor fin. Huge amount of work but turned out nice.

Beautiful work to me this looks quite a bit better than the 10th cut just as far as liquid flow.
