Sorry to hear that, it seems like a IDS program error to me. 20 Jan a new version (120.05) of the IDS program is coming out we will see, is it a IDS software bug or patch error

Sorry I don't have idea. Did you connect VCI2 only on computer, without vehicle? Sometimes when you first connect vehicle to VCI2 and then to USB, the computer will not recognize it. Make sure that the VCI2 is connected to only one power source (from USB)

If you use VXDIAG, dont use this method for installing IDS software. This tutorial is only for VCI 2 and VCI 2 Clone devices.

I figured it out! I needed to place the zip file, the extracted file and the ids shortcut into the recycle bin. Only the vci manager and ids patch stayed on the desktop. It works!

You must put VCM 2 Clone in recovery mode, and try to update. If VCM 2 Clone update fails, restart all process. Put VCM 2 clone in recovery and try again. I was updated my VCM 2 Clone, 5 times. Check USB cable (VCM2 PC) don't use long cables (2,3 or 5 m). Use only 1m cable.

If you look closely, this error is because VCM2 is not connected to vehicle. "IDS is unable to communicate with the Vehicle". I don't have this error when vehicle is connected to OBD II

Do you have device (VCM2) listed in Device Manager? If you have, then maybe is problem in your VMC2 serial number. Some people reported that some serial number are banned from IDS software.

Everything is installed already and it worked well the first time I used it. Test man runtime error occurs when I try to start a new scan. It does not connect with the pcm, instead it the error comes up.

Hi, this method installing ford IDS software work with VCM 2 clone, but you can't use patch V119. You must use ids patch 120 (link in the description). And you must install VCI SDK BEFORE VCI Manager. If you don't follow tutorial step by step, you must reinstall Windwos OS, because drivers are messed up.
