Out of warranty EVs have zero resale value. The moment the battery dies it will cost you tens of thousands of dollars. No thank you wtf.

Looks like they need to come back to Detroit and reopen the factories and give these communities their careers back and start remaking the old school cars back.

A friend of mine works in a metro Detroit area Ford dealership and told me an 8 month old electric Mustang came in the repair shop with the entire battery assembly dead. The entire battery pack was short circuited. The Mustang is still under factory warranty. It cost Ford Motor Company over $35 THOUSAND dollars to replace the electric Mustang battery pack. Just imagine if you bought the electric Mustang as a used vehicle after the warranty is gone. $35 grand is about half the price of the vehicle itself. Who's got $35 thousand dollars around for buying another battery pack for their electric Mustang? This proves again what many people around the state of Michigan sez about Ford. And that is: Ford is a four letter word. It begins with the letter "F", but doesn't end with the letter "D". You fill in the other 3 letters to spell the 4 letter "F" word correctly. Ford is one big F***. Billy Junior should change his last name. It sadly reflects on how the company is run. Billy's great grand father would use his right foot and kick his great grandson squarely in the ass, and kick Billy Jr. right out the top 12th floor window of the Ford World Headquarters. Henry is spinning in circles in his grave over how his company is being run by his great grandchildren and other company brass. No wonder Ford stock never goes above 11 dollars on the stock exchange. While GM stock is very high all the time. Ford stock is f**k stock. Just toilet paper to wipe your dupa after eating a sack of 10 White Castle 🏰 hamburgers.

The reason Ford is losing money is because they released a half baked product. They obviously didn't do enough testing whereas Tesla has. Don't get me wrong, I don't like EV's myself but everything I've seen about their cars is negative from recalls to people complaining about being able to charge cause you HAVE to use the Ford app, to batteries not lasting nearly as long as they claim them to be etc. They shot themselves in the foot, had they done a sneak peek of the Lightning but continued testing instead and waited they would not be in this situation. They keep bring bad press on them all by themselves by releasing half baked products. Look at the Mustang for example, they were sued for the MT-82 transmission and still they're sticking with it for the new S650 model. They don't listen to their customers, we want the Tremec but in order to get the Tremec you have to buy the $60k Blackhorse!

Just gonna act like Tesla went all those years losing money? Tesla still has reliability issues… their cars are just as half baked… they just have a ridiculous warranty to cover all of that up.
@scratchpenny
@scratchpenny Жыл бұрын
@@TexarmageddonBut Tesla was first to market, and they have a much better charging network than everyone else. They also have major engineering and production advantages over Ford. But the truth is that EVs aren't the complete answer for the foreseeable future, despite what politicians and salesmen claim. Toyota and Honda have the right idea, hybrids are more practical for the average person.

That and they have no interest in making them affordable. I was appalled at GM jacking up the Blazer EV from $45k to $56k. At this rate, they will never be viable and its only a matter of time before the Chinese come in and satisfy the mainstream US auto market.

Henry Ford would be horrified if he could see what's going on today in the company he started. Good ole Mr Ford was all about turning a profit and keeping losses under tight control. All the products made when he was around were costed to the last dime by his accountants to make sure they could be sold at a good profit.

The problem is long time . Investment, battery will go bad and your vehicle is worthless, 8 to 10 years. 00 profit , no one is going to buy a vehicle that you have to spend 50,000 on battery.
