Ford Maverick's First Time Racing | Snowbird Outlaw Nationals 2023

We are nearing the finish line of 2023 and one of the last races of the year is the Snowbirds Outlaw Nationals. This year at Snowbirds our Project Coordinator, Felipe Andreis, took his freshly finished project out to the track to see how it would compete in the 5.50 Index Class.
The 1974 Ford Maverick has a 521" BBF and is managed with our FT550 along with our Sportsman Wiring Harness. After some testing, Felipe knows what he needs to do to get the Maverick ready for the 2024 Season and we can't wait to see it cross the finish line next year faster than ever!

Love this Maverick. They’re like a stubby 71 Torino. My first car was a 69 Maverick tree speed 6cyl. Literally the car grandma drove to church and the grocery store. In 1982 it had 31k miles and 1 tiny rust spot behind the wheel in Ft Lauderdale where we get ocean salt rust. 1 of at least 10 cars I wish I had kept. Good luck with it, it’s beautiful

Nice car thought it would run the 5.50 with ease. We just won the 5.80 Outlaw Index Championship with a 414 SB Ford that will run in the low 5 second zone.
