I have 2011 model for a little more than 8 years now with 163hp engine and titanium package and i love it. It have over 350.000km on the odo and not a single major issue with the car yet. If i could buy exactly the same car new i would do it.

With just 2 small tricks, and cheap ones to, it can be significantly improved. First trick for this engine (2.0 euro5, 140hp) is factory power upgrade. It is absolutely identical to the 163hp. It takes someone with Ford software experience, less than 20-30 minutes to just change the map from 140 to the 163 one. 100% safe and factory tune, and cheap. It's not much, but given it's so easy an cheap....totally worth it, also 20nm torque and a muuuch more wider torque band. Second cheap and easy upgrade, a short shifter. Not a race thing type one, it's just a different cable mount that you attach on the old one on the gearbox, but it changes the angle of the pivot point, making the throw shorter. With these two upgrade together, it really completes the driving experience.

I've had my MK4 Mondeo for 13 years, and got to say it's a marmite car. Some times I love it other times I don't, it's been rear ended twice, vandalised multiple times and car park damaged after all that it's pretty dependable.

Do you think 140hp is enough or should you choose 163 or 200hp version?

140 hp is enough for casual daily use. 2.0 engines can be mapped to 140 or 163 hp. There where those 2 versions that came officially form manufacturer and the only change is software switch. 2.0 engines ( 140 and 163) are bullet proof especially after facelift and I highly recommend that engine. If you want more powerful car please look on vw group. Cheers!

Co Pan powie na temat dpf w mieście? Wiem że przy takim przebiegu takie pytanie to trochę żart ale jestem ciekawy czy przekłada się on jakoś konkretnie na eksploatację i czy bywa kłopotliwy.

W tym egzemplarzu nie sprawia żadnych kłopotów.

W poliftowym silniku o oznaczeniu DW10C nie ma żadnych problemów z filtrem DPF, ponieważ ma dodatkową świecę dopalającą. Miałem takiego z przebiegiem 320K km i zero problemów ;)

@@lester811 Tak, pisałem ten komentarz 7 miesięcy temu, od tego czasu kupiłem już swojego Mondeo 2011r z dw10c i potwierdzam,0 problemów z DPF w mieście, oczywiście kontroluje sobie forscanem stopień zapełnienia. Ale dzięki za odpowiedź :D

potwierdzam, mój ma 220 tys, zero problemów... ale pewnie niedługo dwu masa będzie do wymiany ale oszczędzam dwu masę jak się da :P przy 2.0 TDCI mało co jest do roboty jak się jeździ spokojnie nawet przy takim przebiegu to auto jest niezniszczalne jak się coś nie doje*ie...to nasza wina... super auto w niskim budżecie i tanie części w wymianie... samochód dla ludzi, którzy muszą patrzeć na cenę masła w sklepie czyli dla mnie :D

Can you elaborate more statement of not being a "modern car"i n 2021.? Ive driven a lot of cars from 2018. 2019. And 2020 comparable with my 2013 Mondeo

Hey. Thank you for the comment. I have couple of points. It is not a big deal but over all making the opinion for me. 1. Transmission- very long throws. 2. Car does not feel “dense” and precise like VW group car co example, although handling is one of the best in class for that model year cars. 3. Hydraulic steering system. It has no faults but I am already used to electric ones. They are light , precise and do not have negative force feedback on steering if car hits the pot hole or on bad surface. 4. Dor closing and door handle sound is one of the most annoying I have ever heard. I am a car freak and drive a lot of new cars that’s why I am picky and most people will not even spot items I have describe. Over all it is a very good and practical car. But nothing is perfect ;)

Hard to say, i like Mondeo interior more. It is also much more roomy inside. Mondeo mkiv after lift is very reliable car.

Fajne auto 👍 Zamierzam się przesiąść za jakiś czas z Ford s-max mk1 2006r. 1.8 tdci 125KM na Mondeo tylko cały czas dylemat jaka wersja silnikowa i rocznik/wersja ..?? Oscyluje między MK4 a MK5 - 2014 a 2015 2.0 140KM i 2.0 150KM z 2015 roku. Dzięki za ewentualne sugestie co do modelu i rocznika. Mówią mk4 i 2014 nie do zajeb...nia
