hi all,today,3 years after,and after 50k km only ,cruise control works perfect!

HI, I need some help. i have 2011 MK4 ford Mondeo , its cruise control stopped working where as Speed limiter still works fine.I did initial cleaning of the switch but it did not help, I took it to a local auto electric garage and he charged me near 200 GBP to diagnose the fault that both 'Cruise control switch' and 'contact angle sensor' needs to be changed and it will thereafter needs Programming of the control and this will cost me almost 600GBP, which I think is a lot of money. Can you help me with some advise regarding a more affordable solution please. Thank you.

nevear heard about re programming control,for my car just i cleaned and work perfect also today,can try to buy from ford shop new one and replace,but not 600gbp, somewher i see 100-125 euro i asked some time ago

@@wt3149 thanks for the reply. Ok , I will check from some other dealer. 600 was too much as honestly came to me as a shock... was expecting 150-200 pounds max myself. Anyways , thanks for your advise. Best wishes.

@@wt3149 I have looked on line the price of the original cruise control button is 120 pounds and this is what the garage quoted me too but that's the smaller issue , the bigger issue is contact angle sensor which costs 200 pounds and than he was telling it will need programming which is an additional 90 pounds and know top of that, labour would be 160-170 pounds...so despite sending nearly 200 quids I will have to spend another 600 pounds to get it up and running ... 😓

my cc works fine. till i press the "Set -" . if i press it the cc shut off. would this maybe fix it ?

HI ,i think yes,exactly ike tv remote,mondeo cc have motherboard and sometime must be cleaned inside contacts with alcool,
