Ford Pass not working? Here is how to get it going again. The video will describe the steps and a last chance option of getting the app up and running again. It was interesting to find out about this step as it is not in the owners manual. This will work with all new Ford vehicles with the Ford Pass app for locking and remote stating.

I had a issue with iPhone application that not work (hangs at Ford logo when start the application at iPhone).... I just performed the uninstall/install and back works fine!

I tried this... but my pass still isn't working. it did reset, and it did attempt to connect, but I still cannot activate it in my app. I just bought this 2020 Edge. I heard pulling the fuse inside the glove box for five minutes might reboot the modem and get it to reconnect. But I'm afraid of pulling that fuse and losing it down the alternate universe that's behind that glove box.

My 2023 f250 has stopped the remote starting & locking etc. Shows where it's at but no start. Says the vehicle has been started 2 many attempts or something like that. Kinda annoyed if I have to do a master reset!

Just got 2023 F150. I can't open "Connected Vehicle Features" under "Connectivity". I've tried soft reset, factory reset, the tried pulling SYNC fuse, then pulled battery cable. None worked. How about this: How about Ford don't put out products that they can't make work properly. "We have all of this technology folks....its great, except we don't know how to make it work". Fail.

@@MACTFordEdge Well, I went through all the trouble shooting. Soft reset, factory reset, pulled the fuse, disconnected battery cable. I finally got a hold of customer service. They told me (and this fit my problem description to a T) "2023 F-150s and Broncos have an issue right now, where you can connect Ford Pass once, and it works for a few days, then disconnects, and then you can't re-connect under any circumstances. We are aware of it, and we hope to have it fixed by early February 2023. " And that is EXACTLY what happened. I set up, it was connected for a few days and then lost connectivity and no amount of "trouble-shooting" will fix it. It's something on Ford's end. It was nice to hear them actually have an answer. I'm still frustrated with everything in society that only works if "synced" or "connected", because it seems that everything at some point loses sync or connection. I told someone...the day is coming when you won't be able to poop if WiFi or cloud connection is lost. Someday...I could see the entire waste water system be "connected and monitored" , and then it will lose connection and toilets won't flush, water won't run etc. Don't laugh. Think about where we were 40 years ago, then 20, then 10. Now, if "connection is lost", you can't buy groceries even if they have them because they can't scan/find prices/control inventory, etc. So if connectivity goes down, registers go down and they can't selll and you can't buy. I've been to post office to get a package. They had it. Sitting right there. But they couldn't give it to me. Because "the system was down"-- they needed to scan it but couldn't. So using that and looking forward.... there will be a day when we can't poop if the internet goes down or connection is lost.

@@question_it_701 Same here man. I just got a 2023 Raptor at the very end of January and the app was working fine until about a week ago. Thank you for the info you shared as I will stop trying to trouble shoot and wait for the update to come. Hopefully soon as it now getting towards the end of February and no update has occurred. Wait and see I guess.

On mine if you press lock while the door is open it will immediately unlock as you cant lock an open door.

I found that if you lock the car with the actual key fob then use the FordPass to start the car, FordPass will then work correctly

What a load of messing about! They usually try to blame a Mobile Phone for it. Lol No one should have to go through such a mess just to get it working. Typical Ford. Not user friendly. I will try this. Cheers!

I would agree, but I can’t because most automakers don’t add tricks like out of place button combos to activate hidden modes. Such as putting your electronic parking brake in service mode. You push the throttle pedal down while holding the park brake button in the off position and simultaneously turning the ignition back off and then on again(this is all done with the engine off obviously) then your brake job is normal like regular

Does the Master Reset make you lose all the updates that have been applied since the car was first new? Ours for our 2019 Ford Escape stopped on this past Thursday, 9/28. Wife drove to our daughters house and now my app thinks the car has never left there.

I do not know if a reset will default back to original programing. I have not had any issues with my sync 3 since I made this video.

I keep my key in the car and just use the app to unlock. Didn’t work yesterday and had to have a tow company unlock my car. $100 bill and ford paid for it for the inconvenience. FYI try getting reimbursed

@@shakelaposey3757 yes. It worked perfectly but also make sure your phone and the car are connected to the same Wi-Fi because it didn’t work for me until I connected my car to my home Wi-Fi network. Not sure if it’s required but that’s how I got mine working.

2024- Did all the above, still no success. Called dealer to report issues with stereo and app. Stated could be due to the recall of the module they just released. And they will see first if module update is the issue. Read more reviews and the Auto start /off mentioned in many of the complaints. Went out to car did the recommended steps in this video again but when I started vehicle hit auto stop button to turn off feature. Then reloaded anpp and was able to reconnect to app. After said vehicle as powered on even though it was not went out turned on car, then off and locked doors. Went inside and app showed parked at my residence and i was able to use app to start and turn off vehicle. Until my car is serviced for recall at end of June!, I will disable auto off button before I drive. This took up better half of my day. But I do think part of my issue is due to the recall. Frustrating but for moment working again.

Definitely gonna try this but they told me to go to connectivity settings and turn them off and when I tried to turn it off it kept on refreshing. When I went back to turn the connectivity settings on, it won’t even let me access it. It will keep refreshing for 4-5minutes(or more) and then displays(connectivity settings are not available try again, call dealership if the problem persists. I called the dealership and they said they charge hourly fee as it’s not covered under warranty. Could you suggest something?

We have a 2020 Edge. It did an update and now Fordpass does not work. The car was at the dealership for 3 weeks!!!! Still not fixed. We have spent a min of 12 hrs on the phone with Fordpass. We can not do a master reset is part of the issue. We have even unhooked the battery and it still won't reset. We are beyond frusterated.

My ford pass has lost connectivity. Somehow it went back to fleet telematics. We did this and updates and the dealership did as well and still stuck in fleet telematics… apparently my vehicle is a mystery.

I’m having the same problem with my F-150 2023! Been to the dealer worked for 2 weeks and I called Ford pass and worked for 2 weeks. It seems I only get 2 weeks out of the App at a time

Ford says that the modem in the vehicle isn't "speaking" to whatever in the sky lol and we will need to bring the vehicle into a dealership to have the modem reset for a $200 fee. Very frustrating!

I disconnected my battery and did the door procedure with keys out on my 2017 Escape and it worked. Not sure if it was needed or not but I am happy now!
