Followed your video and helped me on the way though i have one question, does the gps work well if u just put it on the bottom of that dashboard flat area? Does it interfere the signal from the surroundings its in right now?

Hey, mate. Thanks for reaching out. You can test signal strength of GPS before sticking it in place. We have an app on the head unit to test for GPS strength. I reckon we have not encountered much problems sticking the GPS module under the dash.

My harnes doesnt have the red and black wires so what do i hook the reverse camera 12v wire to behind the head unit. I have bt50 2009 so same model as this ranger

All good had to cut the brown wire in the main harness and connect it to that

Hi! Do you know if this is compatible with the EU Model of the Ford Ranger? So the Wheel is on the left side, not the right. And on top of the Unit there is an additional Unit for height level humidity and stuff.

@@VhediaVehicleMedia do you have a certificate for EU? Because I'm Austria there is something like TÜV and if I want to install something in my car it needs this certification otherwise I'm not allowed to drive the car anymore. Best regards

@@LetsTWSK prinzipiell muss bei Autos in Österreich alles genehmigt werden was eine Veränderung des Auslieferung Zustandes mit sich bringt. Denke in Deutschland ist das aber nicht viel anders. Vor allem Elektronik braucht ein CE-Zertifikat, sonst darfs in der EU nicht verbaut werden. Aber so gut kenn ich mich da nicht aus.

Hi Great video. Very well delivered. One question with regards to the reverse camera. At the back where it was run through the reverse lights wires, was it soldered?

Hey, mate. Good question. You can just splice it and cover with tape or anything non-conductive if you don't have any soldering tools. I suggest splicing as you might need to tweak it a bit if you're getting interference and soldering will make you do alot more work.

Good question. Just need the main plug to power up our head unit and all other plugs go thru our head unit now. The plugs you mentioned might be auxiliary from the old head unit and aren't needed in ours.

We don't have a head unit for this model that has a CD player. We've opted that our Android head unit will provide you with the best infotainment. Plus it's still got USB ports for if you really want to plug and just play a music or a movie you've downloaded on your computer.
