Ok, so this is a dumb misconception people keep bringing up. I own a RR. Yes, the tune brings it higher than the base f150 raptor. But theres also a ford performance tune for the f150 raptor....... why is this a shock to anyone. So overall, no, the RR doesnt exceed the 150 when both are given their FP tunes.

"Weight". And the RR weighs 5300lbs. The f150R is over 6000. Not talking about which is faster, refering to the tunes. After both trucks receive their factory FP tune, the 150 still makes bigger numbers.
@stepheneckart14162 ай бұрын
@@herpderp1662 Actually the most a 3.5 can weigh is 5800 the raptor R gets to the 6000, second for every 100 pounds is roughly 10 hp power to weight ratio would still have better power to weight ratio with the goose tune, i did the math. Lastly as he said better suspension the launch will transition the ass way better with with longer wheel base and weight.

I don’t mind this decision. Ford performance is just an OEM backed option. The aftermarket is going to add power to these trucks anyway lol.
@OverlandExposures2 ай бұрын
@@aaden4888 For sure. I think for me at least this option is a “safer” bet for the “warranty”. I’m still actually on the fence about it though. It’s already got plenty of power and I hope to keep the truck for a long time

You can run 37’s all you want with this tune. You will not grenade the drive line. Just don’t pull up to ford service with 37’s and expect them to honor the 3 year 36k warranty that came with the tune.
@curtis49252 ай бұрын
You can run bigger tyres with no issues it will just void warranty. In Australia we have them running 650hp at the wheels on 35 inch tyres with no issues( bigger turbos to get that) which is double the power. Mine is currently just over 400whp.

Valid, USDM people complaining but everywhere else in world has been tinkering on these already.

Would you know if that will be coming to Australia ?

Howdy, I got about 1k miles on my Ranger Raptor and just did the first oil change to get rid of the breakin contaminates. Would it be wise to wait until I have 5k or 8k miles before doing the tune?
@OverlandExposures2 ай бұрын
From what I learned about 5 min ago… the “warranty” that is offered might actually cut your current warranty in half?

@@OverlandExposures I have a tune on my Bronco. Dealer mentioned my powerterrain warranty still applied. I guess I need to read fine print

I'll take the beach, sunshine and cleaner air over 50HP that should have been in the engine to start with, as opposed to a $1000 upcharge. California don't need you anyway, Spudboy, you haters always gonna hate, lol. 😘
