Ford Tremor Tow Rig / New Wheels and Tires Too!

Now that we don't have a truck camper anymore, we don't have a need for our Ford F450 flatbed. So, we decided to get rid of our F450 and get a 2022 Ford F250 Tremor pickup truck that will pull our Bigfoot travel trailer and be much easier to drive around town. In addition to getting our new to us truck we also put some new wheels and tires on it. Let us know in the comments which wheels you like better.

►2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper in October 2021. We were contacted by a couple of subscribers (now good friends) who had theirs up for sale in Upstate New York so we headed out on an adventure. We sold our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 within one day of listing it online.
►2014 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 in August 2021 from RVOne near Charlotte, NC. Todd was headed to buy a brand new Bigfoot 10.4 just before we got the Lance 975 but when he got to Southland RV, it was sold. That's when we decided to go to the Lance 975. We knew at some point in the future we'd have a Bigfoot again and here it is.
►2021 Lance 975 - We got our new 2021 Lance 975 from Chattanooga Fish n Fun in Hixson, TN in August 2020. After looking at several models, we decided on the Lance 975 (Check out Brad's channel from Chattanooga Fish n Fun, he gives great, thorough overviews of some really nice boats and campers.) We sold the Lance 975 in August 2021.
►2019 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Bought and delivered from Mountain Motors in Troy, MO on 12/2019 and sold it in 01/2020.
►2005 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Picked up on 8/10/2019 we did major repairs, maintenance and renovations to this one and sold it in 12/2019.
2008 Bigfoot 21RB - Sold 12/2019, we went across country to purchase from a dealer in Pueblo Colorado.
►2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe - Sold 07/2018 when we bought our Bigfoot.

That is one good looking truck. But I am a ford guy. I looked at those, but once I got up to the king ranch package, I would have been stuck with the console between the seats. (I'm okay with the ones you can fold up out of the way.) I have never like a consoles between the seats in a truck, I can't count the times I thought about taking a sawzall to my Rubicon. @texasproud3332 we have already upgraded (at least to us) the sidesteps. We didn't do the auto deploy ones simploy because of cost but the new ones we have definitely look better and sit lower so that it's easier to get in. You'll see them in an upcoming video I'm sure. Thanks for watching! 👍

Im gonna miss the truck camper content, but loving the new truck! An f350 tremor with the 7.3 godzilla is at the top of my list for next truck. I love the idea of you guys getting a popup too. My vote is either for an Alaskan, or a Supertramp!

We're loving the Tremor so far. It is tall but we've already changed out the sidesteps so our old bones can get in easier, LOL. We may just get a pop-up in the future for when we decide to go offroad. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have a 2021 F250 with 7.3L gas and the tow package. I pull a Nash 22h at 7,660 pounds (160 pounds over) with 1,100 of tongue weight. The truck has plenty of power if you don’t mind listening to it rev. Also it squats bad when I hook it up and the equalizer hitch doesn’t seem to get it level. It’s also a short bed. I’m hoping the air bags I just put on will help. I’m anxious to hear how your F-250 does with the Bigfoot.

I am at the tail end of the baby boomers, so Chrome is still king in my eyes. Jacked up trucks with wide tirees, deleted diesels and black wheels, and makes this engineer cringe! Congratulations on the new rig and the awesome bigfoot! Having full timed in the 90s I learned about rv quality the hard way. You picked a great setup and Congratulations!!! While i loved your truck campers I wouldn't go that route any more unless it was a smaller model and towing a boat. Truck campers sit so high I couldn't go on back roads unless it was a pop up or an Alaskan.

I had a 25’ Road Ranger and pulled it with a 1992 Dodge 2500 4x4 5.9 cummins with 5 speed manual trans and we went 30 day vacation like to pikes Peak mt Rushmore devils tower and end up going to Sturgeon the big bike . We had our 12 yr old daughter with her girlfriend and that truck just pulled it like it wasn’t even there and that truck had to have a load on it at all times because it had leaf springs on all four corners. That truck when pulling hard you had to watch your water temp and it ran with the pointer at the 1/4 mark for normal and when the gauge would get at the 12 o’clock mark I would drop a gear and temp would go right back to the 1/4 marke and we had a big fiberglass Excalbor with a blow up rubber seal and I had a fun bunk under the camper shell and it had two windows in front and it made a air deflector and it had one on back part that would deflect the wind up over the camper and had it turned up 3/4 of turn. I mounted a 12 volt fan on a 2x4 and I would put the ac on high threw sliding back glass so you could climb threw and with the blow up tube seal no noise and the camper shell and they girls all road in back and it would stay cool all day and it had a straight pipe on it and the sound was not bad at all we ran 5600 miles on the whole trip and only problem we had was a gallon jug of babeque feel out of the cabinet over dinette and broke on the table and that was at Cody Wyoming which had a ton of things to see and do. Big gun musiem and that was our only problem. I almost for got we went to Yellowstone and traffic really sucked . If you have never seen Mt Rushmore it is the coolest thing on the whole trip .

Citric acid cleans them alum wheels and if they are polished it won’t dull you shine and that’s what keeps those shinny tankers so shinny .

Hey guys! Great looking new truck! I like both the chrome and the black but if I had to choose it would be the chrome center caps. That will be a good looking combination going down the road. Congratulations! I told Carla I am waiting for my Four Wheel Camper to be built to put on my F350. It should be in early September. Can’t wait to get it after having the Northern Lite as I will leave it on full time and be able to go a lot of places I could not get to with the NL. Enjoy the new truck!

Every body talks how great 5 th wheels pull , and I think a bumper hitch pulls just as good or better and you can get a fiberglass camper shell on the bed and you have all that storage space in the bed of your truck and no water and can lock up your stuff and a good place to haul your generator and a fresh water bladder for longer stays of road no docking .

My son-in-law asked me to pick up his 36’ camper down to the lake and the dealer does their shitty stuff they do with trade in campers. They pull the 30-40 gallon propane takes and the swap them out for 20 gallon propane takes so they can sell you your own tanks and the take the weight distribution hitch and the sway bars off and sell you your own hitch. But when I met my son in law at the dealer he said I have to have the hitch to pull that camper safely and I told him I don’t need anything to pull that camper with my Dodge 3500 dullay and just crushed at 70 mph all the way down ther with no problems.

You guys always get top rigs … but please tell me how do you deal with losing so much money … because we all know that nobody that you purchase trucks or campers are not in the business of losing money so that means that the buyer loses all the money and after 4 or 5 trucks and rigs its a ton of money $$$ what are you doing not to lose thousands on each deal ? I have an Arctic Fox loaded with everything and Fox landing duel generators , truck is a lariat diesel 6.7 DRW loaded and that set up new is $$$140,00 and if i swap a set up similar its an easy 12 thousand dollar loss more these last four years.

We usually get pretty good deals on our trucks and campers, Todd is great at finding them. Honestly with all that we’ve had, we’re quite a bit ahead and we do plan to keep it that way.

@@RunawayRoses Amazing as a seller and buyer for the company i work for having 30 trucks and many trailers (not RV ) but many other i we never come out ahead and never pay or able to sell above retail … that’s amazing that you are able to do that . Having said that we are in the utility construction business not sales per se … and still never even break even . If it’s maintenance or upkeep no matter we never ever come out even or ahead .. happy you all do .
