Can remember my Mum having a 1982 1.1 L Fiesta in white when I was younger, learned to drive in a Fiesta mk2 1.1L, had various versions during my driving experience & now have a current 1.0 titanium as my current car, how it's changed over time. My mum was surprised to see how it's so different to her old Fiesta.

Great video. My dad had a fiesta 1.1L on a v reg just a year old when he bought it. I remember looking at it thinking why did you sell the cortina and buy this little thing, then I realised it would do 100mph. Wow it was amazing to me then. 😂👍 dad went on to a supersport then a mk2 XR2 before ditching fiestas for a series one escort rs turbo which I have til this day. Would love to see the tv advert for that. Enjoyed this video. Thanks.

I have a '82 Fiesta S but unfortunately i'll have to get rid of it seems, because the chassis and some terrible parts became rusty :( It feels so bad now, but will never forget what this car gave me. Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful video.

Had 2 x 10 year old X reg ones. Only problem was rust, but engine was awesome.

i loved the five videos it gave a great insight on how the car was developed..love these cars aswell my mam had a red 1 and then a blue mk2 which i got when i was 14 and i still have im restoring it and have a mk2 ghia wit ally cat alloys in amaro blue lovly car very cheap tp run and very easy to fix . in my opinion one of the best cars for has ever produced along with the escort..love the green L version..

I thought the Fiesta ghia/sport had headrests? I Could never understand vinyl roof, the glue comes unstuck eventually, and next time it rains the water get stuck in between the vinyl and roof which means the roof goes rusty.

17 in a year, and hope to pick up a cheapish Fiesta! These things seem very retro nowadays, something the Peugeots and Citrons never really achieved. Must make sure its a Ghia though...hubcaps are bit naff !

@dmob85 I 've restored an 83 Xr2 .... it's easy - parts are still available in England (sills, floor panels, front fenders and many others) ... and it's very easy to repair the body ... the kent engine parts (1.3 and 1.6) are also very easy available .... it's worth of it . Next time protect your car from rust better ...
