The Benchmark you mention is not in a Toyota Pickup. They race the Hilux Dakar off-road competition car based on the Hilux. Out of the 72 vehicles entered this year. 23 are Toyota Hiluxes with two Ford Rangers making the odds of a Toyota winning quite strong.

I'm not sure what you expect a Baja truck to look like. But this is a smaller Ranger Raptor that's designed perfectly for an extremely Long Baja race like the rear deck for hauling extra tires if and when are needed

To be fair...... this truck has literally nothing in common with my 2024 ranger raptor. Except maybe the giant FORD logo on the grill. Its annoying how far these vehicles stray from their based model. Its not even a truck anymore, its a special built, million dollar 1 off monster thats only built for 1 thing. I would be 10x more impressed to see a real raptor do the same thing.

Cool story bro, but I think any smart person would figure out that it's made this way BECAUSE of the fact that the regular bodystyle wouldn't work in these conditions. It's why it's built differently as are most specialized vehicles, because they are... specialized. No, they won't make it for the street because since when would you need to make such a monster to drive on the street or do light off roading ? The money and cost and things required to run this program is not less than 500k guaranteed, your regular truck can do what most regular people do just fine at a massive lower cost. This is just basic knowledge, asking for something like that is simplt unrealistic expectations
