You can't beat the good old days, all my old memories came flooding back, now I look at some of the videos with John Deere 620hp tractors and Case I H 620 tractors pulling some implements 40ft wide, combines with 50ft cuts ,it's a crying shame that some of the farms I once knew are now golf courses. When I see those old fordsons the smell of the diesel and oil fantastic, I bet the friends of the earth would be dancing the cancan seeing all that smoke coming from that tractor. Great video all the best Kevin Fox.

The Howard Rotavator was always a very good peace of kit, and makes a fine tilth for planting. I don't know what is making the old Fordson smoke so badly? Either someone has opened the fuel pump up to much, or your fuel injectors are worn out? I personally think, you would benefit by getting new ones, and save on fuel prices. ☺

That rotavator is not wide enough for that tractor. It should be taking out both wheel marks. And I would put it in the next lower gear to get a better finer result. He should also raise the tiller slowly as he exits so he doesn't leave a big hole.

You really need a super major that's got independent PTO' as your E1A there is live drive and unable to keep the revs at one pace, plus without a rev counter it disasterious also no draft control' lucky you only have a little plot there, ! Keep you eye on the PTO spline and seal, 🤔😣
@glennlingard7851 Жыл бұрын
This diesel major is live drive, what makes you think it isn’t, also, that job doesn’t need a rev counter and neither does it need draft control, the rotovator has depth wheels, so how can that be disastrous may l ask?
@davehodges6258 Жыл бұрын
Look as i stated before you have a Live drive E1a major there that the Rotovator will only work when the PTO is Engaged, What i can see you are doing is you have entered the field then selected the low box drive, and then what your viewers don"t see is when you stop the tractor" you jump off and slide the Rotovator PTO shaft onto the tractors PTO take off, That then is where i stated is Disastrous because you have NO control on safety OR speed, Trust me Sir" Been there done that and got the T Shirt, Us folks that have been borne and raised on a Market Garden know the does and dont" and at times learn the hard way, ! (I wonder if the poor major 3yrs down the line is still in Full active service??)@@glennlingard7851
