Always a problem with fodder beet grow to far out of the ground for topping and lifting

Nothin quite sounds like P6 especially on tick over great old tractors we had one with a L4 Perkins !
@FenlandCrusader10 ай бұрын
Yes you're right they definitely transformed the tractor that's for sure 👍

I was thinking the same myself, P6s are fantastic engines, worked one in the woods for nearly 30 years, never a problem. I thought the tractor P6 was hunting a bit at tickover, think the governor on the pump could do with a bit of a tweak👍🏻 We had an L4 in the high major before the P6 but it split the crank in half. Never did like them because of that. Great video👍🏻👍🏻

Look more like mangolds to me. Fodder beet more like sugar beet.
@FenlandCrusader10 ай бұрын
Yes that's what we said but I've come across this before and there's so many different varieties with deep rooted and and shallow rooted and different colours
@robertcovill846710 ай бұрын
@FenlandCrusader Thinking back, if you knocked mangolds about they would go rotten. Never saw them harvested mechanically

Yes that's what we were taught, but these old thing's were solid 👌

Why do the P6's have petrol / kero fuel tanks?
@FenlandCrusader9 ай бұрын
A lot of the conversions were sold as kit's so they kept the original tank to save some money, thanks for the input 👍

The road which rail track was it 🚊why put sheep on it mud guards thin one's save money after the war
@FenlandCrusader10 ай бұрын
The road is on top of the river bank, the river is higher than the field level so the bank was put in place to stop flooding sheep are allowed to graze the flood plane
