Any idea if the hydraulics, top plate , etc are different between major and super major? Looking at tractor which has a backhoe. Not sure model or year. Hood says super major. Guy selling not sure what it is. There's one place he's getting a starter told him 195? Another told him 61? It has pto on rear. Top plate doesn't have shaft for 3pt arms. Didn't see diff lock pedal. But might have overlooked it. Was expecting it to be a bit different than what I found they are. Been having trouble finding information on these tractors. Found a top plate for sale reasonably for a major. All info I've found says both have 3pt. Found nothing of one without. Some things make me think major, others super. The brakes appear to be disk and are on side of trans. Also there is some sort of actuator or something directly on bottom of trans just behind where clutch would be. There's a shaft out of it towards the rear with a hole as if to hook to linkage moving it in and out. Nothing connected to it. And no idea what it is. Supposed to go look at it again in next couple days. Any information you may be able to help me with would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, this means that there is no force pushing the arms down? Only force when lifting them up? I bought a Fordson Major 1956 some month ago and have started to look over it and se what need to be fixed.

Correct, no down pressure, just weight and gravity.

Hello, thank you for the instruction video. I’m repairing the hydraulic system on my power major. Having trouble finding the o ring kit. Could you post the part number and where you got it? Thank you

There are a few different kits for sale on Ebay, I have found them reliable. The part number is: Ford New Holland 1934247.

I would check the seals and o rings to make sure there aren't any leaks or blow outs. Ebay sell new hydraulic rubber kits.
