So thats what my tractor sounds like without a muffler! Got a 62'.... id be wanting a nice cab for it now that Ive seen that too!(never saw it with a cab either)...mind you not to common over here in Canada!

Whats the story with these things? Australian here,we had a Fordson Supermajor in the 80's that had a Thames Trader diesel 6 cylinder engine in it and 23 by 26 rear tyres.Real professional conversion.I've never seen another one.

Nice Fordson! Did you do the engine swap from 4 to 6 cylinder by yourself? Is the gearbox ok with the increase of power or did you mount a stronger gear box?

Yup my father did it. The gearbox and drive shafts from the are more than it for the 6 cylinder, very straight forward conversion from what I have heard.

We have them over here in the town I live in... yes boy races ...but tractor boys ...races...🤔..maaa that's a new one...17yrs old.... provisional licence... John deers... MF s... ferges...ford...fiats... and the like..flashing beken lights.... led main lights... small LED lights on roof ...helo from Ireland..

Yes, very loud in the cab. And the trailer brakes are not in use at the moment.

Great machine fantastic restoration .but the straight pipe if you were working it would deafen you..These pipes werent part of the majors in the day .and are put on by (hear me fanatics ) The quieter an engine runs .the more i admire the engineering .THAT SAID .A proper enammelled exhaust is the only change id make a beautiful machine

Yes you are right it is bit obnoxious for working purposes however our Major is a show tractor and any man with a engine conversion would be silly not to let everyone know.
