Thank you for the video! Can't wait to try this. I do have a question- how do you know how much of the photo to crop off and save for the top image? Is there software you use to make sure the cropped top image is the correct size?
@BrightSideStudioBookArt8 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. I just go by feeling and the software I use is in my head. I like to try new things and learn by trial and error. I’m sorry that I don’t have a better answer but that’s how I do most of my things when I craft, I go by feeling.

Thank you! I'm thinking the top strips will stop the pages from nesting. Win-win😉

Most welcome, and the top strips are also good if you have a book that doesn’t look so good at the top with damaged pages ☺️

Do you do a 180 first or just the one page at a time.
@BrightSideStudioBookArt4 ай бұрын
I craft most my books on the edge, only make a 180° fold first if I need to bulk up the book. This one is made on the edge.

If we make a mistake, we inverse strip or maybe strip could mix, how can we do ? It's difficult to find the order 🙃
@BrightSideStudioBookArt3 ай бұрын
@@sandrinou1329 The strips are numbered so you can always check what number you’re at. If you make a mistake you can remove the strip and then re-attach it again at the right place ☺️

May I know what brand is your cutter

It’s a Hama ProCut 320, but it’s a very old cutter, 10-15 years old or even older. I have a Dahle 552 that I prefer to use but it’s too big to have on my desk so can’t really film while using that.

Do you use foredge to make the pattern and does it determine the length for the top strips?
@BrightSideStudioBookArt8 ай бұрын
Yes, both the front pattern and the top pattern are made in foreedgebookart.com I show it in the beginning of the tutorial that I made the top pattern 10 cm. You choose pages and height when you make the patterns.
