Thanks for the note, Richard! Training can bog you down if you let it, so it’s what you make of it! For me, that meant studying with fun people who had a similar mindset instead of doing everything alone. I used Sportys so I can’t speak on Kings. Best of luck in your training!

I went to flight school in 2007 or so and it really was the dark ages. “Ok plan this diversion” the instructor would say. So now I get to unfold the map and draw a line on it and calculate my time and fuel burn and fuel remaining hopefully while still somehow flying the airplane and looking for traffic. So 15 years later about when I’m considering going back, finding a cheap old iPad was my first thing

Haha I'm 33 and "back in the day" I had my old sectionals, AFD, approach plates, and 7,000 other pieces of paper. So looking forward to having a much tidier cockpit as I get back in the air in the next few months.
