Hi Gaby, thanks for making this point so clear. I'm a returning tennis player after a break of a few years. I can hit well some of the time, but I so often find myself backing up to take the ball. I'll focus on this next time I'm on court!

You "da bomb", another fine lesson. Liked the progression on unit turn > racquet ready.

@@gabypaztennis Interesting take on current forehand technique: "Is the Next Gen Forehand Biggest Scam in Tennis!", gets into the quirky, stylistic elements on the tour. Makes a good case for inconsistency (results) among some players.

Good demonstration.... What's important, is taking all balls earlier, whatever the speed of these balls.... Eric, from Paris. Well done.! 👍😊👍
Is it important to close the racket face before swing forward?
@gabypaztennisАй бұрын
You need to have it at least slightly closed. And some players close it more. Also depends on your grip! :)

great lesson. would be helpful to include 10 to 20 seconds of live play with a partner to see the forehand steps in full action.

Thanks! Good idea 👍🏻

i don't agree with your step 2. step 1 needs to turn more the shoulder but after if you do step 2 you lose energy and time, after step 1 correctly done, you just need to drop the racket face to the ground to store the energy before letting your body goes forward and taking the racket as the passenger. i don't know if i am clear ;)
@TheNickman66Ай бұрын
Good but you needed a camera behind you. In the one clip you did show from behind, your hand gets further away from the body which does allow the racket to lag behind the wrist.
@gabypaztennisАй бұрын
@@TheNickman66 it does lag. Always when you accelerate, but you don’t want to get the racket super far back. Tks for input. Will do some from back also 👍🏻
