My husband was fiddling with it and I did as you said to get to Fahrenheit. He had pushed too many buttons. I just took the batteries out and put back in immediately and it read Fahrenheit. Your video helped me a lot. Thank you

I pressed mine down for more than 5 seconds and it hasn't changed to F. Is there another way? I open up the back and replaces the batteries as well too. Still under C.

This is a late response being I just bought one but there is a tiny switch on the back above the battery insert section I found to switch it to F

I've been reading that the average body temp is no longer 98.6...average body temp is around 97.5 now ... i took my temp with my Orgal Thermometer and then this exact infrared thermometer and they were within .01 of each other.... 97.5 and 97.6....Health.Harvard.edu now says..the average body temp is closer to..... 97.5F

Ex EMT here... was going to add the same thing. There really isn't a normal anymore... more like a range of good values. You don't need to worry until you see 99+F.

When I put it on forehead it keeps saying low. I did exactly as you said. Its brand new. Didnt come with batteries. Why wont it do a forehead reading

I can't get mine to switch from object back to head temp & I lost my manual can you help me? I've been trying all day I feel soo dumb lol

Don't feel bad I loose or throw away half my manuals. I will type it word for word. When Thermometer is off press the mem button for 3 seconds. Then press the measure button to measure room temp or object temp. Press the measure button for 1 sec and a beep will sound then you can see what it reads. I have been playing with mine, and if you hold the MEM button for 3 sec when the screen is blank or power off it will go into Object mode and show the house symbol. if you let it power off after this and only press the big Thermometer button above the mem button it should automatically go back to ready head temperature and the head will be displayed on the screen. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Bud i was also having the same issue displaying correct temp, mine is not exactly like your but this type all appears to have the same software. i found it has a tolerance level you can adjust i added 2.1 degrees and now it come up to 98.6.. mine has the 3 buttons like yours but mine are labeled + ... - and Scan, if i hold scan down for 10 sec it brings up F1 push again F2 and so on when i get to F3 i can use the + or - button to change the tolerance...Cheers
