I really love the food in Delhi and these are my 7 favorite dishes 1) Dal Bukhara: Bukhara in Maurya Sheraton 2) BBQ chicken in red sauce: Coffee Shop in Maurya Sheraton 3) Butter Chicken: Moti Mahal Daryaganj 4) Mutton Ishtu: Karims Jama Masjid 5) Badam Pasanda: Karims Jama Masjid 6) Kulfi Falooda: Roshan di Kulfi Karol Bagh 7) Hot Chocolate Fudge Sundae: Nirulas Connaught Place.

you have travelled very extensively in India and I am surprised that you are not sure what is chole, kulcha, bhatura. Kulcha,Bhatura are breads. Chole is chickpeas or garbanzo beans. Bhatura is same as puri or poori but much much bigger in size. poori is eaten with aloo (potato) masala. I love dogs but pack of street dogs can be a real danger. Always carry some snacks like biscuits for the street dogs to keep them calm especially at nights. Delhi,Beijing,HongKong are terrible places to visit during winter months. cold and smog and too crowded too.

It would not bother me to see the slums (except I would feel bad for the people who have to live there). I want to see all of it! If anyone else visits, they will have to see it too, so why not be prepared? Many people think the US is such a glorious place because of what they see in movies and television, but we have a HUGE homeless population, many slums, gangs, drug addicts, prostitutes, and the like. One can’t go through life with rose colored glasses and expect not to be exposed to this at some point. The only way we can begin to try to make things better is to admit there is a problem in the first place.
