Its so strange, Lou is not in the best shape vocally, suffering from the drugs he had to take from the brain cancer removal and subsequent weight gain and even though he can't HIT the notes he wants to hit, his passion carries the weight of this performance and all his strength makes him really shine here. In my opinion, its under this kind of conditions that the real stars show their quality. This in fact, taken all things into consideration, might be the best live performance of this song I've ever heard.

If you don't look at Lou and just listen, his voice is still powerful still handsome with a twinkle in his eye because he loves to perform. In his book he talks about his children and how he wasn't always there and deeply regrets it. That is rare in rock stars but he is making up for it. He relies on God and family. God bless him! I don't know if he found real love but in his book you could feel the love and pride he has for his children.

Just another masterpiece from the 80's. The original recording by Lou was the BEST!!!! Knowing what love truly is, is loving God, His son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit. God richly blessed me with a beautiful woman 39 years ago. He joined us together in marriage. We are deeper in love now than ever. We so enjoy listening to the 70s & 80s music. Especially this song while out cruising in the exotic speed machine I bought her a few months ago, simply because I love her, respect her, and really like her. Its amazing that she still looks hotter than her car, and I don't mind that kind of problem! She is timeless! On top of that we have 7 adult children and our 5th grandchild due soon. I am the most blessed man alive!!!!!

Sambergler There are large black choirs in different phases of him singing the song here on you tube and they sound beautiful....Lou became a born again Christian in 1997 after under going major brain surgery that same year that was life threatening. He said he was praying when they were wheeling him into surgery and told God that if it was his will to go that he was ready. Lou tells this fantastic testimony today and he is now in his 60's. You could tell something was going on with Lou every time he sung this song as far as God....even before professing his Christian status!!!!!!!!!!!
