Typhoon Yagi, known in the Philippines as Severe Tropical Storm Enteng, is currently a powerful tropical cyclone affecting Hainan. The eleventh named storm and the first violent typhoon of the annual typhoon season, Yagi originated from a low-pressure area that formed on August 30, approximately 540 km (330 mi) northwest of Palau. On September 1, the system was classified as a tropical storm and named Yagi by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). After making landfall in Casiguran, Aurora, on September 2 at 2:00 PHT (06:00 UTC), Yagi weakened as it moved inland through the rugged terrain of the Cordillera Central of Luzon. It later emerged over the South China Sea and began merging with a secondary circulation west of Lingayen Gulf, with its deep convection starting to wrap and develop convective bands extending west and south. On September 5, the JMA reported that the storm reached its peak intensity with ten-minute sustained winds of 195 km/h (120 mph) and a central pressure of 915 hPa (27.02 inHg). It subsequently peaked as a Category 5-equivalent super typhoon on the Saffir-Simpson scale, with one-minute sustained winds of 260 km/h (160 mph). After weakening during an eyewall replacement cycle, Yagi slightly restrengthened before making landfall near Wenchang in Hainan Province on September 6, featuring a nearly complete eyewall and spiral banding in the southern semicircle. Merry Christmas world all the way from the Philippines 🇵🇭. I guess it was the people's desire to celebrate Christmas that let them celebrate this season very early, but in general, some say that Christmas will only start on December 1😂🎄⛄ or the beginning of the Advent Calendar but it depends, There is no rule regarding when and how we will celebrate❤
@SusieinthePhilippines3 ай бұрын
Yes, most people in Hungary would say that, too! December 1 is too late for me haha At least it should start right after Halloween and Undas 😁
@KennethDueñas-w2k3 ай бұрын
@@SusieinthePhilippinesyes for me 2nd week of November, is the most appropriate time to decorate, not too short or long haha😅 and Halloween 🎃 is over
@SusieinthePhilippines3 ай бұрын
@@KennethDueñas-w2k Yees! Well for me it's different in the Philippines probably due to the weather. In Hungary / Europe Christmas is accociated with cold and snow. So starting in September would be strange when sometimes there's still summer heat. But in the Philippines it's already moody, rainy weather now haha

Manila has a high water table so it floods easy, soil can’t absorb all that rain plus Manila is at low sea level. Manila in ancient times was swamp land where Maynila plants grew.

I make that kind of crepes here in Kuwait 🇰🇼 but smaller(the size of saucer) i spread cream cheese and filled with slices of mangoes then rolled same as you did, arrange/pile it in serving plates or tray and serve with mango sauce or mango purée(optional).

It's is a lot more Christmas in the 70's and 80's when the cost of living is much lower as all houses start decorating in September and when evening comes, all houses are bright with Christmas lights. But today, due to the high cost of living, very few houses have Christmas decorations, probably just 10% of the houses are decorated.

Philippines is not a christian country. It is a democratic country with multiple different religions, that follows a constitution, not a religion, infact there is a separation between church and state.

If you found a cat like that. It's your luck and it's a blessing. It means it meant for you. You should keep her. Cats are symbol of abundance, prosperity and security.
@SusieinthePhilippines3 ай бұрын
We kept the first and second cats we found before. But over the years we have rescued around 10 or more at this point. Unfortunately we can't keep them all because there's always more who need help and they are a big responsibility. So now we always try to rehome them 😊

Didn’t know it floods easily in your area. I thought Manila is the only place that gets flooded. Maybe take into consideration the flooding issue when you buy your land. Baguio would be a nice place because of the weather and it does not get flooded.Anyway, great job being a “fake” news reporter.😅 Your palascinta looks so delicious! Take care and God bless. 🥰

Thank you, happy you enjoyed the news haha We are in Santa Rosa now unfortunately it floods easily. Our old home was in Cabanatuan city near Palayan, never had flood issue there so we'd like to move back to the area in the future 😊
