It gives me the impression that westerners were hoping to get 3rd world gutter type treatment in lndia ,simply because it has poverty,and not as developed as western countries. The west is highly developed, but still majority cannot afford the cost of treatment, because money is more important then human suffering. Indians culture puts humans above wealth, that is a difference between East and west.

I get health check up done every year. It is free and complusory for me as an employee of a public sector bank paid by the insurance company with which they have tied up. That is how I got to know that I have fatty liver.
@AgnesMann
@AgnesMann 9 ай бұрын
Is the health check as extensive as the one I did? The general health check can be done on NHS but it’s usually just a questionnaire plus blood test and if anything is discovered from the blood you can get this investigated too. But for the price I paid I think here in India it’s very reasonable to get it all checked once every 5 years at least and smaller blood test check ups every year to make sure all is in order
@completefuss7715
@completefuss7715 9 ай бұрын
@@AgnesMann Yes it is almost as extensive, I would say. This is because my company pays the expense of medical check-up. Only 1 or 2 tests might not be there. But, all major tests are available. I have got checked up in Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata and also Narayana Hospitals, Kolkata. Both my experience was quite good. At least, now I know that I have a fatty liver and have to stop eating fast food. Health check up is necessary.

@@AgnesMannIf we start the diet regime prescribed by religious trusts, we can be sure that fatty liver and all lifestyle related disorders would be miles away from us. I have learnt cooking in their style and discovered that Satvik food can be much tastier than we normally think. Right kind of spices, ghee, nuts and seeds is all you need to make prasadam. Once in a while you can enjoy the fast foods whereas home cooked satvik food makes your body robust to fight diseases. Even the humble khichdi is good for weak patients as well as normal people like us. Also there is fasting regime which can beat chronic aliments along with regular treatment from any system of medicine. In no way one can get obese by following this satvik diet, let alone getting disorders related to it. Also we can get yearly comprehensive tests to see the progress from Doctor's point of view.

The medical test being very cheap (affordable in Steve jobs words) is one of the primary reasons why many Indians think twice before relocating to other foreign countries. It's that good here! Infact health care in India is so affordable that there are govt hospitals that give free treatment to the poor. All these without any medical insurance. Imagine just consulting a dentist in the US without insurance. We have to sell our assets for that. India is also famous for medical tourism & earn billions from that. Foreigners come here every year just to get their big ailments treated which would have costed their whole fortune, if it had been in their home country. So, yes health care being affordable in India is really a boon for all Indians & other foreigners too. The only thing that's expensive in India is private school education while the US provides that for free lol. India does provide free education but it's not recommended for bright future. That's why private schools are a go-to thing in India. Since Indians give the utmost respect to education, here they'll even sell their assets to give their kids the best education. See the irony! Healthcare vs education & India vs the US.
@AgnesMann
@AgnesMann 10 ай бұрын
Yes it is true, although in Poland the healthcare (private one) is also not very expensive and it's known to be very good. Education is definitely better in india than in the UK or USA. Poland has OK system but it does need improvement. Thanks for watching

This is so true. One of my cousins who stays in US had some dental issues so she came and stayed in India for few days(last year during Diwali), got her dental issue resolved and went back to the USA at the less price than what was quoted by a US doctor plus it had long waiting time.
@indianallways5720
@indianallways5720 8 ай бұрын
Yes it is affordable to the foreigners as they pay in dollars or in pounds but certainly not for the locals. 6000 rupees for diagnosis may work out around 60 dollars so it is cheap for them. How many locals can afford this? Treatment runs to lakhs and many die as they can not even think of entering a specialised hospital. Your ga ga over the treatment you got is not THE proof for praisings

Hi. I could put such video together, NHS is actually free in theory (except the hefty National Insurance contributions collected involuntarily from every taxpayer to cover the service . Yes that’s correct 👍 and I think this is going to be noticed by west and soon we will have people flooding India for private health care. Medical tourism is driving the cost up in India. I wsh the west follows some policy of allowing immigration of doctors to their country at a limited rate to prevent brain drain and collapse of the resource in the source country, and keep their cost to themselevs. Pls use such a resource only to avoid delay and not save cost.

India has some very huge advantages as for medical field is concerned that get passed on to the patients. India’s large population, being world pharma capital with more humane IPR for life saving medicines. The huge patient population because of large population exposure of doctors of all specialties to complex diseases and so the treatments. So we have some of the best doctors in the world of every specialty. The other advantage is low cost medicines in fact some very expensive medicines are 1000s of times cheaper. So also we have allied medical equipment and skilled staff. In west they have latest equipment but very few skilled staff to operate them.
@AgnesMann
@AgnesMann 4 күн бұрын
I agree.. west is smart. let India do all the heardwork developing its youth and then steal the talent. Most Indians who go to the west do not want to return. Because better quality of life for them and family. These Indian's also take their wealth from India over time.
@mkrao100
@mkrao100 Күн бұрын
@@AgnesMann We are not really worried about talent leaving country. India had around 32 universities in 9th century and scholars use to come here to learn. Indians GDP was 34% of world GDP up until the invaders stole all the wealth. Just the British stole $43 trillion! Today India($3.6 trillion) is richer than Britain (3 trillion). What wastrels they stole 100 trillion and today are near 3 trillion. While Indians constitute 1% of USA population but pay 6% of taxes. So we will definitely make it to the top because our society is pretty young compared to west which is aging pretty fast and also the poor, uneducated and violent muslim refugees are flocking the west will turn them into gutters in a decade or two.

You would be surprised. My best friend passed away from cancer and she was in her 30s when it was discovered. There are genetics as well as environmental factors that are affecting our health and some illnesses are well hidden until it gets too bad to treat. Age is not an indicator of ones health, and although this would suggest that the older the more risk of diseases, it's not always the case. But I am glad indeed I had checked it all and I can sleep assured I am well and healthy.

@@AgnesMann Age can be indicator for ones health, as aging is major risk factor, for many deases. Why mammogram test is recommended for women over 40, when we know that women younger than that get breast cancer. Or collonoscopy test recommended for people over 50, although younger people get collon cancer ??

I do health check every year, it was not always as extensive but money can’t buy you health and therefore I’m being proactive and regular checks would detect early signs of illness so it can be treated. The revenue from this video did cover the cost and KZbin is my business but this video was more to show what’s done, the state of the hospital and a bit of awareness about health check. That was the idea behind it more than making any money out of it. So I hope I have managed to achieve this

I personally think India's medical check-ups or doctor consulting fees are lower compared to most developed or developing countries. No country can bring down prices like what India achieved. but still, more than 30% of the Indian population still can't afford it and Govt hospitals should improve hygiene and cleanliness in govt hospitals. I think as the poverty level decreases people in India can all have affordable healthcare.
