I think Filipinos are very forgiving and prioritize their kids' wellbeing rather than their needs

For me, no.1, cheating is generally not accepted in the Philippines because of the strong values and religious beliefs of its citizens. But cheating happens, depending on the options and accessibility to cheat. If you are in the province, there are limited options. No. 2, cheating becomes more rampant nowadays because of social media and capability or need of someone to widen his/her social network No.3, I think cheating and divorce put men and women into certain stereotypes especially by their family members and friends

Divorce is not a solution to a marriage problem!!! The nations of the west, especially those of the U.S.A. and Europe now realized the disastrous effect of divorce in their societies and families. Instead of creating marital stability, divorce was used and abused for personal gains and not for the benefit of the society as a whole. Always remember that marriage is not only a private affair between two persons, but also and more importantly, it is a vital part of the society. What we should focus on is how to prepare a future married couple to have a meaningful married life with the help of marriage counselors, and other experts in the field, explaining to the future husband and wife the gravity and of course, the beauty of the state of life they are entering before the wedding day. We must give it enough preparation time. This is because "Ang pag-aasawa ay hindi tulad ng pagsusubo ng sinaing na bagong luto na pag napaso ang dila ay bigla mong iluluwa!" How well prepared the future married couple is will determine the success or not of their married life. Prepare them, and prepare them very well!

I was saddened to learn that divorce will soon be allowed in the Philippines as a Christian Filipino. When you made a pledge like "Till Death Do Us Part," marriage should be worked out. The Philippines is attempting to imitate western culture, where having a close-knit family is neither a major deal nor a significant part of society. Shame on the politicians who keep bringing this up and pushing for its legalization. What a disgrace! Marriage is a holy covenant made by two lovers who are united as one by God. Because of this, both parties should get to know one another well before getting married. Both parties should be aware of each other's strengths, dislikes, and even a measure of tolerance for their flaws.

Hi Eric! Thank you for sharing your insights. Really appreciate it. I am in support of divorce because it allows people who are in bad marriages an option to legally end it. For example, those who are being physically hurt by their husbands/wives or who is consistently being cheated on. I don’t think anyone will go into a marriage if they knew their partner would physically hurt them, and unfortunately, sometimes it’s something that happens over time after Marriage.

@@thewinedingdownpodcast That's why you should get to know someone well before you get married. It appears that most of the broken marriages were caused by listening to their hearts rather than balancing their brains and hearts. Scripture does not explicitly support divorce, and in marriage, everyone vows "Till Death Do Us Part". Where does that vow stand now? It is not appropriate to include the phrase, "Till Death Do Us Part", in the rite of marriage if divorce is the only solution to escaping an unworkable marriage relationship. Christians should not ask God for a partner based on their own desires, since they want exactly what they are asking for and what they are seeking. Only a few Christians, outside of Catholics, can be counted on their own fingers who have just filed for divorce or separation from the protestant group. Separation and divorce are not even much of a thing for Protestants, Born Again Christians, and Jehovah's Witnesses.

I think cheating occurs because both men and women have been programmed that they are 'supposed' to be in a relationship. From boyfriend girlfriend, husdand wife thinking that they need to fulfill of what is expected of them from their families or they themselves buying into that idea. IMO i dont think most people have asked themselves if they really want to be in a committed relationship and that they are willing to make compromises/sacrifices for one another.

I've just started watching your vlog. I like it, I find it interesting. I just have a favor to ask, though. Can you minimize the use of the word "like" in your conversations? It can be annoying, sorry.

For me,its two things.. if the person is based on very conservative values cheating is less to happen.. And if its in his/her surrounding or even the way its been introduced to this person that cheating is an option..
