From personal experience, the thing with Filipinos is that they will truly give you the shirt on their backs, welcome you, and share with you whatever they have even if it isn't much. The only thing they ask is you be open and drop the foreigner snobbery. Unfortunately, it does happen that some of us foreigners look down at these so called "third world countries" and its people which is shameful.

Please watch the other vlogger "Swiss Humanity" based in Dumaguete, he opened up the real life in Switzerland, it is so conservative though they are all (European) materially blessed but emotionally drained, hence, for those European who are looking for a genuine and real life that our mother earth has to offer, why not heading to the Philippines and see for yourselves, that life is a blessed and genuinely a bliss. There are so much more to be seen and to be experienced in the Philippines, I guarantee you won't regret it.

Yes, Filipino Home-cooked cuisines are always yummier compared to most resto foods wherein chefs mixed complicated condiments spoiling the true taste of the main ingredient most likely frozen meat, beef or seafoods. Unlike in the province like Siargao everything are taken fresh for cooking, like the meat,veggies, seafoods etc. As long as the local cook find in the kitchen table some garlic, onions, salt & vinegar, pepper, chillies, genger calamanse or biasong (native lemon) for fresh fish KINILAW the counterpart of Japanese Sasieme, everybody goes to enjoy a happy eating, for sure. Anyways, I think Mike & Nelly shall now avoid staying longer @ Metro Mnla or Cebu to avoid the congestions but go to the island province instead, to enjoy fresh air, HEALTHY atmosphere, good vibes & stress free habit. Another good vlog, thanx. Making it Happen, we are grateful.

It is normal in the Philippines to be invited for a meal when you visit them. That's how hospitable and friendly they are. Very welcoming to visitors, locals or global tourists alike. Indeed, I can say that am lucky to live here.
