Too bad this series is discontinued. It was without question the best crime show ever. It's the right amount of time, with no added drama, such strategic information, and quality production.👌

Yes, I am near to finished with every episode and I wish there was a new season coming out. It would not be the same without Peter Thomas though. I am glad to have these episodes on You Tube, because I remember it was 50/50 show/commercial. And after midnight more commercials than show content. I get pretty tired when that happens.

There's an interesting follow-up to this story. Years after the killer was arrested (and died in jail by suicide), a woman was watching this episode of Forensic Files . . . and suddenly realized this was the house she was currently living in! She approached the landlady (the killer's mother), who then refused to let the poor woman out of the lease until the local government stepped in.

You may want to re-watch the video. She didn't say she didn't know about it, she said she had never been in it. We don't know what kind of coercive control this monster had over his girlfriend but it's not difficult to imagine a situation where he simply ordered her not to go in the basement and she complied.

These days, your home printer leaves hidden micro dots on every page you print that uniquely identifies your printer like a finger print (machine id code). From there they'll find out which store was shipped that printer, then they'll look up store receipts and/or videos to see who bought it. So if this case was today, the mail he printed and sent would also point back to him.

Two 15 minute back-to-back checks were skipped, which means there was a 45 minute window of opportunity! So, hey, how about a show on the investigation as to how the prison guards let the killer hang himself and escape justice, thereby bringing an end to the investigation and learning where other victims were located? Or did that just "slip through their fingers" too?! Did anyone find out how that was allowed to happen? Was anyone punished or fired? It is infuriating to think of everything that was lost, especially to the family members and friends of the victims.

@@cherylangel1714 I assume you're comment was a joke but just in case it wasn't I'll try to clarify things for you. If two back to back 15 minute checks were missed that leaves a 45 minute window. For example, if the 9:00 check was done that leaves 15 minutes until the next check at 9:15. If the 9:15 check was missed (1st missed check) another 15 minutes will pass until the next check at 9:30 (2nd missed check). So far 30 minutes have passed but the next check is not until 9:45 so another 15 minutes will pass giving a total of 45 minutes. 9:00 (completed) through 9:15 = 15 minutes of opportunity 9:15 (missed) through 9:30 = another 15 minutes (30 minutes total so far) 9:30 (2nd missed) through 9:45 = another 15 minutes (45 minutes so far) 9:45 (completed) Two checks were missed so there 45 minutes between actual visual checks.

Read an article about a tenant who rented this house and she didn’t know about the whole serial killer thing. She said her 2yo relative looked at one of the poles where the victims were tied up and tortured and got really scared and cried. Like she saw somebody but there was no one there. The landlord wouldn’t let her out of the lease and she had to get help from officials to move out of the place. this is why when I feel ‘presence’ in the houses i live in i get freaked tf out.

I came into the den where daddy was with a strange look on my face right before I said my first word. . .Clarissa. Daddy firmly believes that I saw my cousin's spirit that day. I've heard or read something about young children being closer to the spirit world than we who are adults, thus enabling them to see or feel the presence of a departed soul.

I've never understood the every 15 minutes suicide check. If the party being monitored puts his plan for suicide into motion after the most recent check on his well-being.. well he would be dead on the next monitoring check. That aside, it comes as no surprise that law enforcement failed to follow through with protocol for the suicide watch. I often believe when this happens it was not by accident.

legshakermaker1968 The thug who stole from a local store, roughed up the store manager who was much smaller than himself, and then attacked a cop and tried to take his weapon was the one who started the trouble in Ferguson. It’s strange that Burn Loot Murder always grieves for the criminals who get themselves killed by attacking cops, but they never have anything to say about little kids, black and white killed in these very peaceful protests.
