Foreo LUNA 3 Plus - how I use it / Trained beauty therapist reviews

Ok So FOREO LUNA 3 was already big the past year but for it to be upgraded already with these features to make it LUNA 3 plus...I got asked ALOT when I'd post my own video sharing thoughts from my bathroom, here it is! I love you all and hope you like seeing what 50 degree celsius feels like to cleanse with, FOREO LUNA 3 Plus let's see what you got, enjoy the calming B roll, I then come and ruin it with my fog horn mouth! That is exactly what I thought.... I have a Luna 3 so can't see that this expense is worth it, but definitely an option for the future I'd look into! I'm pretty old skool and don't like replacing (and wasting!) things that aren't broke just because there is a newer model out there! 😉

I agree totally and with Laura's comment! It's only if the user dosen't have one or maybe the mini? And for sure, old school all the way! These devices last forever, so if your one is well looked after I wouldn't change it all the time, think like iPhone! Hey! Thanks for watching by the way, wanting to add some info now to this, it feels more intense because it hasn't the anti-shock like the Bear devices, so its not awful or painful but it's like hey hun! haha hope this helps? I basically use this device solely for the cleansing and warmth:D

Thankyou so much! I’d honestly say for sensitive skin the mini is great because of the both sides targeting different needs. I’d only ever go down the route of 3plus if you were obsessed with the heat or had very open pores or oily skin💖

I LOVE the heat, I just wish they did one in combination skin variant but...if sensitive or normal was the device you would go for and you get a good deal id invest in the heat because it feels epic, but its not a deal breaker so make sure you get the one in budget ❤

Yess any cleanser just nothing with a scrub, I’ve only tried some so far. This however is when you are always using the device which would be only cleansing, the micro current is on the other side so it doesn’t activate unless you turn it on through the app. Hope this helps and thanks for watching ❤️✨👽

I have this version and also the regular. Sadly I prefer the regular cause it feels the metal stubs feels harsh on the skin. It also didn’t feel as soft on the skin. Maybe my skin is really sensitive.

Hey! Thanks for watching firstly, and I can actually get where you are coming from, for me it only feels like this around the nose so I just reduce the pressure. One thing I feel helps is a more foaming cleanser, though if your skin is more sensitive try a thicker creamy cleanser and use less motion in the cleanse, do sweeping motions outward as opposed to maybe circular (which I'm not presuming you do, but many do and it's fine to) Hope this helps and lucky you to have both haha:D

@@StillInLuck Can you recommend a thicker and creamier cleanser? I've tried Foreo cleanser but it dried me out bad. I tried with Fresh, La Mer, Clarins, La Roche Posay and even Youth to the People but they're too thin for the device which resulted as if someone slapped me all over my face. LOL!

Hi Chris, you helped me a lot when I was deciding on UFO, and now I'm back with more questions 🥰 1. Is this heating something to avoid with capillaries issues on the face? I mean, with UFO there is heat but afterwards I always apply cold, and I've heard such hot-cold training can be good for red face, how about here? 2. I know you said you prefer using Bear to this microcurrent, but if I was to buy only one, Luna 3+ or Bear, which do you recommend. The microcurrent option is very much important for me, and for cleansing I have been doing good enough with Luna Go so far... Thanks for your help ❤❤❤

Hey. Love this and here come my answers 1. I wouldn’t worry per say, but I would avoid spending prolonged times on these areas, focus on areas you want to relax tightness in muscles or just want the warm feel, I like the contrast of heat on the skin and I think it would help, I’d focus more on cryotherapy to be honest especially when it comes to using something that can help with capillaries or redness like colostrum serums etc from environ. 2. I would buy BEAR the ergonomics win for me and because it’s focussed only on that I think it has better results, I think that if you have your little go you don’t need another, those rock ✨❤️👽

Hello do you still use it? I just ordered the luna 3 and saw this. I was thinking of returning it and just order this ome instead. Would you still recommend it? I am acne prone only in the tzone. Should i just get the one for sensitive skin? Appreciate your response.

Hey you! Yes still use it but in your situation please go for a LUNA mini or a LUNA 2 or 3 combination skin- these both (the mini has it on the back) have thicker brush heads and are always my go to for a deeper cleanse, the price increase for the l3plus is huge and I don't think you'd be less happy with the ones I mentioned, it just suits more anti aging concerns etc Hope this helps and if you need any help!

Hello! Sorry I didn’t see this sooner I’d use it daily with a calmer cleanser for sure, once a week or twice with an acid based cleanser for a deeper cleanse if needed ❤️

Hi Chris, I just got myself a Luna 3+ and found that the microcurrent is quite shocking. It’s like static shock and a bit of burning sensation, super uncomfortable. I never felt that way when using my Bear mini. Is it just me with low pain tolerance? How do you experience the microcurrent with the 3+ so far ? Thanks Chris !

Apologies for the delay, this is because it hasn't got the anti shock that they launched with the bear, so I prefer the luna 3 plus for only target areas but the Bear wins hands down, hope this helps (tip to help with any discomfort is a really thick conductive gel) ❤❤❤

so it's kind of like the UFO but also not lol I've always wanted the UFO to be 2-in-1, one side for masking one for cleansing. would you say it heats up more than the UFO?

Hey! Yes this heats up more than the UFO but its because I guess it needs to work super hard to still feel warm with water and product on it etc, I swear some people thought the UFO was a 2 in 1 scrubber at once stage haha, but yea that would be awesome your idea! The UFO just does so much, I dont even think this can compare because its more a cleansing tool with an added benefit of skin perking up with micro current! Thanks for watching and commenting:)

Found your channel when trying to decide what Foreo to purchase... so I just purchased a couple of the Luna 3s for Christmas gifts... I have the Luna mini 2 and LOVE IT SO MUCH.. but I decided to go with the newest version for a couple christmas gifts... so now I have a question 🙋‍♀️ lol.. they threw in 2 boxes of UFO activated masks for free with my purchase... HOWEVER, I don’t even own the UFO 🙄 so are these masks even USABLE without the UFO device?? If so, how do you use them??

Hello!! Thanks for coming to my channel and sure you can use them on their own, may feel a little different but hold them like a cotton pad but over your inside of the middle and 4th finger then trap and tuck that in with your pointing and little finger so its tight, then sweep over your skin! And use ALL of the serum, I use this sometimes when I travel and don't want to take a serum ❤👽

Hey and thanks for watching firstly:) Ok so it really depends what your skin needs are or the reason as to why you would want to upgrade? If its just for newness then either is great, the only time I'd recommend the LUNA 3 Mini over the bigger ones is for two things 1) skin type changes alot, so you can benefit from both sides 2) size, if you travel alot and want something as small as powerful but just as strong as the larger devices :)

My skin is normal and I have the Luna 1 for normal/sensitive skin (if you remember, they released only two versions back then: normal/sensitive and combination), but lately I’ve been using acids and retinols in my skincare too... I’m “afraid” that using the Luna would be too much for my skin when I’m using acids also, so I’m interested in the newest sensitive one (I don’t know if the luna 3 mini has sensitive bristles btw - but I saw that they made the Luna go for sensitive skin and I don’t know if the bristles are similar to the New Luna 3 sensitive). I’m really confused and tempted at the same time 😅 I can’t decide

I've never used PMD and not sure of the quality, and it sounds biased trust me its not I'd just prefer to use any Luna even without this heating element, the cleanse you get is what got me hooked

Hey I cant answer literally because I used it on and off (90% of the time with mixing the other with my old LUNA 3) But it lasted a good amount of time but nowhere near the normal LUNA 3 because the heat uses alot of power, but worth it:) hope this helps?

Yea thats pretty normal tbh, depends how long you use it. Normal luna 3 is like over 6 months charge, so this is usually like 1/4 of that:)

Hey! I think for trying it and using it occasionally or full time it works well as an added bonus, but the anti shock and larger device (BEAR) is best for more keen users, the luna 3 plus can help save some money in the mean time and be 2 in 1 if desired :)
