I'm still annoyed how they never implemented a hi-hat pedal function. I basically learned to play drums on RB so when I got on a real set, my left foot was always on the double bass pedal with the hi-hat locked close. It's silly that they thought hitting the ride would be a good substitute for open hi-hat notes.

@@chibilawl I don't recall it having that. RB3 was the last one I played. I could be wrong though.

I made it work day one in RB3 using a y-adapter, but they added it in software in RB4.

I always wonder how they would chart keys for this song. The beginning keys of the song is wild!
@RollingThunder572 Жыл бұрын
It’s actually kind of easier to play on actual drums since the cymbals are on both sides. So you can switch off between the right and left hand for the snare drum part in the beginning medley. It’s kind of like playing a paradiddle very fast which is obviously difficult but possible. Here’s a video if you want to see it first hand: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqW3gKeBZtCbfK8si=T0oeOcGz0-dwrb7o

I still find it funny that the song ranked as the hardest vocal song in RB1 (not including bonus tracks) starts off with a two and a half minute instrumental.

I can't get over how this song got a devil tier on drums only cause of the beginning
@RotomLandry2 жыл бұрын
Many of the on-disc tracks from Rock Band 1 were rated much higher than they should have been when compared to songs of the same tier in Rock Band 2. I think the rating systems of the first on-disc setlist were determined in comparison to each other. This can be ascertained because there's exactly five songs in each of the five "difficult tiers" that rated the songs before the Rock Band 2 difficulty rating update.

@@RotomLandry I agree with you although I have to say that even with the tiers being established in the first game, there were many songs that were out of order based on ranking. Technically each tier made the first song on the list the easiest and the final song as the most difficult one to play. However, if I’m going to be honest with you they didn’t even seem to do that very properly. For example, for the final tier “Next To You”(and I’m discussing the drum tiers since this thread is for a drumming video) was the first song on that list which implied it was the easiest but imo I found it more difficult than “Tom Sawyer” and “Flirtin’ With Disaster”. Don’t get me wrong, “Tom Sawyer” is def an impossible song but if most people watch the videos of both songs being played on expert drums, they would most likely consider “Next To You” a more challenging song to beat. As for “Flirtin’ With Disaster”, I found that song to be a laughing matter because I honestly thought there were songs in the previous tier that were even more challenging than that one for drums.

It even gets worse with band tour mode in terms of rankings and tiers. Anyone can look it up if they doubt what I’m saying. This def had to be the biggest flaw of the game to the best of my knowledge. Nevertheless, I still think it’s arguably one of the best music themed games ever made!
