The problem with many of us, is to expect to develop and grow today. This hinders Development and growth that can potentially be realized by knowing our history to allow us to prognosticate about our future. Love all said by the lovely Lady Afrkana Chihombori-Quao. May God keep her and the likes of Prof Lumumbo plus many others, not forgetting those who passed on in good health physically and spiritually.

As a South African woman in the construction industry.I have worked for a white man,Indians and coloureds(mixed race) and now working for a black man.I can tell you it's worse working for my black brother, solely because I am a very opinionated black woman and I see how they treat the white and Indian employees much better than blacks. This young man, Thione, from Senegal, deeply inspires me. He speaks to the fundamental things I believe in. Africans keep talking of the great America and Europe, while putting down their own countries. If anyone believes or imagines Africa is no greater than West and Europe, then who do we expect to come make Africa great? Africans must be the ones to make Africa great. it is in their own interest to make Africa great and livable. Great discussion, panel.

Yes Africa has excellent young people, there just needs to be a way to bring them all together, and receive SKILLS in building roads, bridges, homes, malls, Hotels, hospitals and put in septic systems, and water treatment plants. It's wonderful. Start the factories. Blessings to you you Ambassador, you are so gracious, the other American lady misunderstood you, but it's ok! I understand perfectly. She has not said how to get the factories built and she isn't offering any way forward, just sounding off about her misunderstanding so just allow it because she's on the right path, just off topic. When you have African leaders hurt the economy of Africa then they'll be no progress. The only reason why Mandela stayed locked up for so long is because the United States was down with all that s***. They could have stopped that but they didn't United States treat black people here just like France is treating Africans in their own country. That's what I can't believe I'm like dumbfounded like what are they allowing these French people to rule over them like this all the black people there and they scared no way no way

The white host is having too much fun - thinks it's all a joke, laughing and cracking jokes. Look at how the young man and the ambassador are passionate in their speeches. She (the host), must be one of the people who says "I don't see color, only human beings". Sometimes, I wonder if white people have any idea about how slavery and colonialism carried out by their ancestors, has completely destroyed the self image and dignity of a *significant* percentage of Africans. This is why the ambassador talks passionately about whilst the white host laughs and almost trivialises the discussion. She (the host) just doesn't get the gravity and urgency of the situation.

This is AWESOME!! The African Ambassador is someone to pay attention to. I'm a black man in the Diaspora and so glad that a Mother figure of Africa is teaching us! Besides, mothers are our first teachers in most cases. Seems like it's the voice of a woman that will get our attention! She should be Reinstated!!!💯🔥

This move should be focused on economically establishing the children of Africa, not reestablishing the dominion of the colonizers or new colonizers over the continent. Unleash the African lion ! In respect to education, commercial enterprises, material resources, African empowerment, and military defensive capabilities, as well as industries, and energy.

Nobody is going to love Africa more than Africans, if Africa is going to rise up and be recognized as a developed continent, each and every African has to contribute . We need all hands on deck and we need to change our mindset and attitude. We cannot continue to do those things that continue to destroy our dear continent.

Great perspectives!! Thione Niang you called it! Challenging and changing leadership like for real! First things first, with all due respect, Israel can never be a measure of comparison with Africa when you talk about the legacies of colonialization/ slavery.Back to the leadership issue ... I've always wondered and get hopping mad at how Western business folk get the red carpet rolled out to them by outdated African leaders groveling for kickbacks, loans and economic leg-up & favors. And yet, what is the converse for African businessmen and women attempting to access capital in these western countries? Never equal footing or access! These African leaders need to demand the same stringent over-the-top requirements to become citizens of African countries! The same with land ownership, value-addition ( demand them to train and hire so many locals, like affirmative action policies work here) and re-invest in the places they're stripping raw minerals/ commodities. They are not and have never been superior or smarter than us and need to be held to the same standards. If you, Mr Niang can train young people to internalize this, and become leaders with spines to stand up to western superiority, the battle is more than half done. God bless and protect you as you continue your priceless work!!!!

Afrika is shaped like the human skull, as was pointed out by our Ancestors, because Afrika is the 'head' of the world. They considered the 'head' (also called 'ori' in Yoruba) as the seat of spirituality. Same as the Third Eye (pineal gland), which is located in the center of the 'head'.

This is for the people in this post, with little faith, these African leaders on this panel are the perfect example of the scriptures in the Bible. We don't need to hide our faces like Esau does, the most high Yah wants us who are leaders and teachers who speak Truth to show our faces. Let's Not forget about what David in the Bible said (Psalms 23:4 ) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I Will Fear No Evil; For You are with me; Your Rod and Staff, they comfort me. We must be fearless, so the most high Yah can show the world his POWER!!! Haliluyah 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Dr. Arikana is a great African but i assure that she has woken up our curiosity. Leadership is about taking the Risk to do what others are not willing to do, it is not about age, size or experience. It is the willingness to change the status Quo and confronting the stumbling blocks.⁶
