This was the most favorite track of David Wise for a long time because of the composition advantage. He feels that this was the only theme that he made for DKC that (even with the hardware limitations) actually sounds in the way he imagined when it's playing in-game and anyone can notice it. The absolute masterpiece of the Donkey Kong Country SNES trilogy.

I wonder, does anyone else feel like the beginning synths would sound like Diddy singing if a synth filter was placed over his voice? For some reason I keep imagining that whenever I hear this soundtrack

Is it a possibility that in the future you can attach a google drive link with stems in the description? I’d love to mess around with the channels myself

This is incredible, how did you manage to do this ? did you get the single stems ? Awesome work !
Nothing sampled here, David Wise composed from a Korg synth workstation, he was influenced by Phil Collins of Genesis for the percussion.

What software is this called?
@__Obscure__3 жыл бұрын
This is not a demonstration of a new creation on any specific software. This is a song ripped from the ROM of *Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest,* a game for the SNES. The song was created by David Wise using very primitive data entry software and his own brain, and @carpathia808 created this video so we could see exactly what the 8 sound channels in the SNES contributed to the composition.
