This song instantly takes me back to being in 5th grade and growing up in NY during the ‘Blizzard of 1996.’ I was so happy for the snow days because I was able to play this game each day during what would have been school time. My brothers and I would take turns and it was just so much fun. I have played a lot of great games from those with incredible depth to them (Witcher 3, Mass Effect, and Bioshock to name a few) to the games mostly about being fun without caring too much about depth in story-telling and themes (Mario games, Banjo-Kazooie, and most Zelda games), but even among those greats and personal favorites, Donkey Kong Country 2 is perhaps my all-time favorite, and it just might be the greatest game ever made.

The beautifully layered backdrop all in a dark and washed tone, with the lush greenery rubbing up against each other out in the background, all in a color pallet dark enough to evoke a feeling of dim and lush greenery in a humid forest infested by creatures of all kind. The raw sense of liveliness and yet loneliness such a strong contrasted color pallet and tone evokes is enough to already send a wave of comfort over me, all set to a track beginning with a crescendo of swelling synths, a nostalgic sound no matter your time period. All this combined into a level in a game with a music track that I hold very dear to me, and you make the nostalgia express

I think many gamer in this world are judge the value of the game by look just good graphic and prize but never look at the good story and much gameplay Don't let the graphic trick you that bad graphic bad gameplay and story I'm one of that. That's doesn't judge the graphic my friend use to insult that I have bad taste in game play only pixel game like this. I show this game and give him a try of play and listen music then... He was walk out and didn't say anything and look at me and tell "That game was frigging hard and I don't like music" heh... different people different taste.

This is really a breath of fresh air for the spirit considering all the garbage, hate, smut, online nowadays. This takes most of us right back to childhood when times were simpler. Innocence. Granted we didn't have perspective yet, but the world seemed more adventurous in my opinion. It holds a very tender place in what little heart I have left. And that's something truly priceless.

I was starting to think someone else than Jammin' Sam Miller where doing these restorations until I saw your description. Would've been nice to link to his channel as well since he deserves all creds he can get for his work!
