Forest Resources Inventory Using Terrestrial Laser Scanner || TLS || FARO ||

Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS), also referred to as terrestrial LiDAR (light detection and ranging) or topographic LiDAR, acquires XYZ coordinates of numerous points on land by emitting laser pulses toward these points and measuring the distance from the device to the target.
This work is running under the Forest Research and Training Centre (FRTC). Nepal has started forest resources inventory using TLS recently from past year in TAL Area. They have worked in Bara and Rautahat District before working in this place. In this 2 district,they have worked in 8 permanent plot.
Currently FRTC has been working on Rupandehi and Kapilbastu districts covering the Terai Arc Landscape Area in 8 permanent sample plot.
