Man...I can't wait to get this bike. I only have a 125cc, and I'm currently having to commute around Wales. Boy, that bike struggles. I sometimes have to downshift into 3rd, just to tackle the hills and not slow down the traffic behind me too much. Watching this makes me envy the power and fun the Honda CBR650R brings. Nice riding btw.

Hey! thanks for the comment. I can understand the struggles of a 125 have a lot of miles done on them! I would be careful upgrading to a big bike from a 125 but it is a very nice bike! Wishing the best!

I'm guessing the sprocket sizes have been changed because it seems to indicate a lot faster than it looks. See at 7:20, you're in traffic behind cars doing 100, just looks slower (by 10 or 15mph) than the speedo is indicating. Be interested to know what the gearing is on your bike to be sure.

You have the quickshifter ? How it works to change gears because I’m new about passion of bike and I’m thinking of buying CBR650R so idk how it works
@cuddlycocaroach2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I would love to help you out. So an upward quickshifter assists with upward shifting. Normally you close the throttle, pull the clutch, shift gears , and let out the clutch in a timely manor. With a quickshifter, all you do is shift. As long as your throttle is open, you hit the shift as you would normally, and it shifts upwards without power cutting and clutch use. Helps a ton! It works the same on all motorcycles, and it isn't standard on the CBR650R

If u hammer 1st and 2nd without traction control on, would it spin or come up cause I’m a little worried about turning it off, but sometimes tc kicks in at the worst time making me lose a race to a slow ass car
@cuddlycocaroach2 жыл бұрын
So I never ride with TCS on, even if its raining UNLESS it is extreme rain or hail. And the tire spin/ wheelie situation is dependant on your tires. In the UK however it is extremely rare for my tire to spin due to the quality of the roads. But in turkey the tire will spin on any asphalt 90% of the time ahahah. Dont be scared of either of them. With one you learn how to give angles while drifting with the other you learn how to control the throttle and how to keep the front end controlled. Plus you would need to try to get the front end up with gas. Unless you let off the gas after 6k rpms and full throttle it, it wont come up! Hope this helps!

That looked like fun, nice CBR650R btw. I've got a question, at what rpm is the bike in 6th gear at 80-ish mph, cruising. How do you reckon it will be on a 2500km journey through Europe, covered in 2 days.
@someoneelse1i1i Жыл бұрын
My cbr650r is at about 6100 rpms at 80 mph. Over 1500 miles in two days will be tough! The bike will go that fast consistently without any problem at all. You’ll have to fill up about 8 times at that distance (it will go about 200 miles a tank, give or take) and while it is comfortable for a sportbike that distance will get a little painful in some places😜. Hope you have fun!!

I know those roads. You're the reason people think bikers are idiots. Apart from the dual carriageway, and the 30 limits, all those roads are 40 mph speed limit. Doing 145mph on the A31 and moaning because someone was in your way?! I regularly travel that route with my family in the car. You would cause a very serious accident at that speed. You deserve to be banned, if you haven't already. By the way, I'm a retired Hampshire police officer. They can EASILY trace you to this offence.
