The only really frustrating match for me personally, was the home loss to Newcastle...We really should've beaten them, as we had just come off the three match win streak, Nuno was Manager of the month, and Chris Wood player of the month, and we were at home - the City Ground was rocking. I really expected us to then hammer what was a then 12th placed Newcastle, so I was gutted when we lost it...but then we bounced back, and can you believe we actually beat United at their place - after 30 years!!! YES!!! How sweet is that!!! After what seems an eternity in the darkness of the lower league abyss, we're now back where we belong - in the light. I'll ALWAYS be nothing, but grateful to Super Cooper for saving us from the abyss, but yes Nuno is the man to take us to the next level. YOU REDS!!!!!

I was wondering yesterday why we are 4th because basically we are the same team as last year with Milenkovic and Anderson . I think we are not the best team inside the pitch . But we are the best club .All parts of the club now are working together and look positive and healthy . The fans, the owner , the staff, Nuno , players , to the last person working in city ground , all seem to be positive and working together as a family. I think thats why we are 4th

I was at work yesterday doing a ten hour shift at Santa’s funland listening to the match on my AirPods went through every emotion thought we had blown it when they disallowed dodgy offside goal but what pleased me the most was that we never gave up and that’s the sign of a good team who are actually believing they can achieve something amazing this season and loved what Nuno said in his interview afterwards what a guy!!! I loved Cooper as a person but Nuno is a massive step up and hope he gets the backing of the club to for fill our destiny Merry Christmas to all the Forest Faithful ❤ COYRs!!!!!!

For me, there is a good reason why last season that we didn't do well and yet with a similar set of players, we're now in 4th. We had some very good but not elite players, but we've always been carrying 1->3 players in a team in any one game. That now seems to be 0->1 at most. That turns many draws into wins or losses into draws which makes all the difference. As much as we complain about VAR, it isn't as bad as last season either. And our 32 points total was really 36 (plus probably 15 points lost through VAR). Oh, and ... Milenkovic.
@barley481310 күн бұрын
I agree with that. Last season was a real annus horribilis. The officials, the point deduction, the late concedings, the lack of margins in so many games when we scored first, a bunch of 3-2 defeats, set piece disasters and of course a good bunch of personal errors. Pretty much of it was caused by what you point out, we had 1-3 players that had to be carried by the rest of the team. Which is very tough to deal with in this league. Coops brought in a handful of great players like MGW, Awoniyi, Elanga, Murillo, CHO, Aina, Williams and Keylor Navas. But our midfield was way too weak, with players almost incapable to score more than 1 goal each, or chip in with some assists. We was off for a good start after the chaotic first season back in PL, but we lacked a real leader like Milenkovic to organize our defence, and a fighter and ballwinner like Anderson. What we now have is a machine that turns all those bitter defeats into sweet wins. But as the table also tells, we're hardly scoring any more goals than we concede. Which is quite typical for a mid-table club. We're not like Arsenal or Man City that has the ability to really trash their opponents when they're at their best. We have a run with 1-0, 1-0, 1-0 and 1-1 against the four lowest teams on the table. It's good, but far from what you would expect from a club with european ambitions. We're still building and improving, and I'm delighted with where we are now. It's quite a miracle compared to where we was just three years ago. So I still salute Coops for making this miracle possible. Beating Arsenal and Liverpool in the first season back in PL was almost unbelieveable with that mishmash he had to deal with. I predicted a 10th place this season, and Wolfie said 8th. I do have a good feeling that Wolfie will be closer to the right answer than me. The very lowest we can come this season is a 13th, but that's unlikely as this team won't fall apart at any stage. We will be from 4th to 9th all the way, because it's still very close. Or we might will see a totally orgastic Wolfie after beating Chelsea in our last game, and grabbing a sensational 3rd place. We have a funtastic team, and that fun will last for many years to come. COYR.

I still think Nunos learning about his team, I think he'd of learnt so much from the last 15 minutes and the heights this team can play too. The future is so bright, big shout out Elanga, can't be easy not starting, but his attitude and performance was game changing. His after interview was great to watch. Nuno has created such a calm, happy atmosphere within the team, where everyone has a part to play, this can't be underestimated, under Cooper it was total madness, worral and mckenna banned, players alienated.

Think there's been a few huge differences this season: 1. More settled squad, we made a few astute additions in the summer, rather than wholesale changes. 2. Resolved our set-piece issues at both ends of the pitch 3. Injury record has vastly improved 4. Nuno is levels above Cooper tactically If we can take 5-9pts from next 3 games, then I think the European dream is on!

That can be risky and it went south when they scored but credit to Nuno cause he put the players on and they delivered handsomely. It's time Nuno got some proper credit from the media and Forest fans tbh. Nuno's name should be getting chanted around the ground for the job he's doing yet I'm not hearing much in the way of recognition. If Cooper had us 4th we'd never stop hearing about it inside and outside the ground, so why isn't Nuno getting the same recognition? Also it's time the media started giving us and Nuno more credit. They can't stop going on about Thomas Frank and Brentford for example yet a lot of the time we win games and it's all about how terrible the opposition were and we were lucky etc etc and we'll start to fall away - sick of hearing it. We are massively overachieving this season and it's time Nuno, the players, the staff, Marinakis and everyone at the club got the recognition and credit they deserved

Our away games have been as though as any other teams. Even Brentford is one of the hardest away games. I believe they have the best home form in the league. Definite foul on Anderson first. The Anderson tackle on Cash was just Anderson wanting it more. The worst decision by far was the disallowed goal.
@jamesbensley4810 күн бұрын
At the time , at the match I thought Anderson was bloody lucky to get a away with that but after watching the replay definitely not a penalty , contact started outside the box and he had already fouled Anderson so no way .

Dominguez truly deserved a goal but top drawer save denied him. Okay VAR on Wood but I also agree no penalty on Anderson but definitely one of the best tackles to win the ball and curt back to Elanga to score. Every week this season this team is just amazing me. We are above city and in top four after 16 games of football and we have already been away from home to the toughest places to visit in the league. Its been an unbelievable season and anything is possible. I still worry about euro competition though, the squad, wages and fees all imcrease to build a side for it and many teams villa and newcastle especially struggle to cope psr wise with those investments, it would be exactly the same for us. Not to mention prem form can dip as well with europe midweek. Im not sure if it comes has it come too soon before we have built sensibly?

Match summary 1st half seems like both teams was happy with a draw, no penalty on Rogers as the foul began outside the area plus Rogers wanted Andersons shirt. 2nd half very entertaining, that save from villas keeper was something else very similar to sels save against Liverpool. Cho's penalty claim is a no from me, woods offside goal should of been given as it took var years to rule if offside and look to me that he was level. The foul on cash for our 2nd goal should of been disallowed... but fuck it how many time last season was we screwed over. Over the moon with the win and seeing December's fixtures I would of been happy with 6+ points. So now I'd be happy if we get another 5points from then next 3games:)

Exactly what I said, Forest Freekick, if missed, free kick to villa outside the box. The woods goal, was 100% a goal, I really don't know how you can review for 6 hours and say his hand is offside? You can not score with a hand/arm. If it's that tight, benefit has to go to the striker, we want goals, football is about goals, var has to change, although it has been 10000% better this year, but still room for improvement

Mornin lads, Wolfie. What a game, what an ending 🔥🔥🔥🔥it is so nice to be able to praise Elanga instead of dissing him for his headlesschickenness😂(new word get Suzie Dent on the blower) no way Anderson gave a pen unless you close your eyes for the first 2 secs of contact, what a bargain this lad has become🔥i always believe……..that we will finish where our points total says we finish🤣🤣🤣 COYR
