European Clubs Target Nuno! Richards Return! McKenna Heading Up North! Nottingham Forest News

Nuno Espirito Santo is a target for clubs in Portugal and Spain who are weighing whether they can prise him away from Nottingham Forest. Despite the club suffering a four-point deduction for breaking spending rules during his tenure, Nuno steered Forest to survival, eventually finishing six points clear of 18th-placed Luton. Nuno has one year remaining on the contract he signed to replace Steve Cooper last December, with an option for a further season.
Nuno’s stock remains high both in Spain and his homeland, where he has coached Porto and Rio Ave, and in Spain, where he led Valencia to Champions League qualification in 2014. There is also a feeling in football circles in those countries that Nuno could be tempted back for the right role.
Scott McKenna looks set to leave Nottingham Forest this summer with heavy interest from north of the board, with both Rangers and Celtic interested in taking the Scottish International. With a value of around £5m, Forest will look to cash in as much as possible from fringe players like McKenna with PSR concerns always on the agenda at the City Ground.

He wasnt brought in for relegation scrap, he was brought in coz marinakis believed the squad wasn't relegation, he let Luton and Burnley catch up, was very poor I thought , couldn't motivate , wrong team and subs , useless

Not sure time needs to be given to players leaving on a free. I agree that the silly season is well under way, the Nuno saga is mostly hype. I can see a pathway opening an approach for him, but not certain that leads to a move. Richards returning after next weeks final does give us options and hopefully the player he was for Bayern is still there. Has a season in Greece and season out to injury softened him?

McKenna leaving as free agent proves how foolish Forest transfer policy are. Forest should sell McKenna last summer and I think Forest would get 1 to 2 millions. There were many transfer mistakes with each individual one may just cost Forest a few millions but if all these mistakes were not made, the PSR situation would be much better and Forest may not need to sell their star players like MGW and Murillo.

I think this is win win. We get compensation for Nuno, rather than paying him off, then we get a fresh start with a full pre-season with a new manager. Personally, I'd like to roll the dice, I wasn't impressed with his time so far. Question is, who would be left and who would come to Forest?
