I agree. I have loved this song for as long as I can remember and I've only ever known Justin singing it until recently. Gary has an amazing voice without a doubt but I just can't see anyone singing it. I nearly cried when I heard Marty Pellow sing it.

I prefer Justin Haywards version but that’s me (Moody Blues fan for 50 odd years). Gary’s version is great as well he has a beautiful voice.
