I wish forever knight was still going. few shows were as good as this.

I don't know about still going on, but maybe its ripe for a 'reboot' now, with the public's 'new' fascination with Vampires and undead in general (varioius TV shows with Vamps from the 'classical' versions to 'viral' vampires, and even vamps in only name like the 'superhero mutants' of "Twilight" [ugh, don't turn over now, stomach ^_^]).

I agree. This was a good show and part of the CBS late night lineup in the early 90's which included Silk Stalkings, Dark Justice, and Dangerous Curves.

MOONLIGHT had been much like it and the Computer game VAMPIRE THE MASQUARADE. BLOODLINES 3:13 Not really new. FLASHBACKS were an old method even in some elder Western Shows but of course the idea really became a top concept with series like KUNG FU and THE HIGHLANDER As a fan of the show I love this interview/review thing

What I just did not get was that never came up the concept of LIGHT ALLERGY/LIGHT POISENING some people really suffer under more correctly known as Photodermitis. The first wife of the former German Chancelor Helmuth Kohl suffered from it.

As a teenager watching this, Forever Knight and Anne Rice's books meant the world to me. I was such a tired teenager and I always wanted to tell Gaint Wayne Davis, Nigel Bennett, and Brad Pitt (Interview with the Vampire) that they saved my life. As a teenager I was a special ed kid and I hated myself, and this series involved how I felt, it inspired me to be a writer. I also wanted to tell Anne Rice too that she did a lot for me

I fell in love with Gaint Wayne Davis during this show. At first I wasn't sure if I liked a blonde vampire. (lol) I have been doing research on vampires since the age of 9. I'd go to a book store and search my way to find ONE vampire book. Now-a-days, you can find vampire books on a whole aisle. I also joined the FOREVER KNIGHT FAN CLUB back in the day. I have a Forever Knight Fan Club Card. It's just so cool. They wrote me back and I have their letters. I'm blessed. V"""""V

I've been watching my first season boxset and I forgot how much I enjoy is perforamce as Nick. Sure he was dark and brooding sometimes okay a lot of the times, but he also had a sense of humor and enjoyed giving Stanky a hard time. I also liked in the show that vampires had reflections.

To this day few shows have made me fall so in love. I think Blood Ties and Moonlight are very close to the feel. I was able to get copies of all three seasons...I just wish it was easier to get digital copies on Google or Amazon (I got FK seasons 1&2 on Prime; FK 1, 2, & 3, on Apple TV; Blood Ties is currently free on KZbin if you have Premium, and Moonlight I bought on Apple TV too.) While I'd love a reboot/remake, I know that the main cast can't really reprise their rolls, but they could, if amenable, have cameos.

Decided to hunt up some information on the show after seeing Nigel Bennet on an episode of "The Strain"; still playing a 'vampire' after all these years ^_^ Loved this show back in the day, during my 'vampires are so cool!' phase (which consisted of this show, Anne Rice's novels, and a silly game called "Vampire The Masquerage"). Grew out of that as I got older, but ahhh, nostalgia ^_^

I really loved the show. I’m glad to see that these guys aren’t all jaded and look back on it in some kind of embarrassed way. I was 18 when it first was on television. But I have to say that as time went on they really handled certain things poorly. Janette was handled poorly. Having her become human and the method through which she did was just so out of the blue. And the ending was awful. I would’ve preferred they left the ending open without just killing off all but one character.

@PirateJessicaandcats9 жыл бұрын
+Wolfkins1972 I preferred Tracy, and I loved season 3 because it gave Lacroix and Nick a new level, they got closer to one another, my favourite seasons were 2 and 3, but I agree with you about human Jeanette. I think it ruined the idea that there was no cure, I liked the idea of it being an unobtainable goal and that people like Jeanette liked their vampire ways, plus Jeanette falling in love with fireman made the chemistry go what was happening between Nick and her.
@eugenemcgirt23578 жыл бұрын
I must have missed some episodes... have zero recall of Janette becoming human and falling in love with a fireman. At the end the show lost some luster (as most shows do at the end) and tried to bring in youth with Vachon and Tracy. However, Nick looked older and gained weight so a little of his charm dissipated.

I actually love the original TV movie Nick Knight. Rick Springfield had good intensity in the role, John Kapelos actually seemed to have more enthusiasm for Schanke, and the soundtrack is KILLER. But both LaCroix and Jeanette were WAY better in Forever Knight and ultimately it was a fantastic show.
@tracieg69867 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've always kinda wondered if letter writing campaigns actually help or not because in the end these guys will just do whatever they feel like doing anyway. It actually kinda pisses me off that the letter writing for Forever Knight was having the opposite effect. I imagine it's probably like this for all shows that are close to getting cancelled. A campaign helped keep Jericho on for one more season, at least enough to kind of come to an acceptable stopping point, but it didn't help Blood Ties At All. It even left off on a cliffhanger. Ugh! Fuckers...
