I have been using ur yeast/sugar treatment and I recently harvested a 5 lb 2 oz summer squash! And I'm harvesting about 15 hot cayennes off 2 plants that are only knee high. Before that all my squash except one small one had turned to mush. One of the most valuable things I have learned in years. Here's a tip u may or may not know. Tomato plants have a nicotine allergy. No smoke nor the oils on ur hands

My B&D trimmer only has a single string and is fantastic. It's now 13 years old and still going, although the battery size on mine is 36V. Not necessary to have four strings or zipties

If u look on the package of your appropriate string that goes to your trimmer it has a little water 💧 symbol which means to soak the string for sometimes up to a day or more and the string absorbing said water makes it exponentially less brittle an prone 2 breaking on such a constantly never ending regularity.good luck just give it a try

That’s why if you use string to 3d print, must go thru a dehumidifier

Put your loops on the outside of the spool, that should keep the wire in place.

Why didn't you try a metal coat or shirt hanger?

String trimmers are interesting, but considering the effect of plastic micro-beads in the ocean and waterways, the broken-bit residue on land is disturbing to me. The stainless steel looks promising, but since I'm unlikely to use gravel for a surface, I think the scythe still wins for me.

I think electric fence wire, mechanics wire, and tie wire might be worth a go also.
