The next economic catastrophe will be worse because we cannot afford to bail it out like we did the last time. Last time, it should have been worse, and honestly, it wasn't as horrible as it should have been. Furthermore, those who default on their debts will be people with good credit scores and loans with higher interest rates, making the situation much frightening in many ways. We now have inflation depreciating the dollar and markets, when we didn't back then (apart from high gas prices)
