I feel your pain. A stuck injector killed a piston in my built motor 2 months ago. I ended up going back to a stock long block since I wasn't pushing the built one hard enough to justify another one. Best of luck on your rebuild, I want to see SnB rolling out again.

Don - The first thing I would suggest is that you determine what your goals are. If your goal is to run a certain number at the dragstrip, you may consider increasing displacement. I tried making power with a small displacement engine and have been really regretting it. I am at the point where I will eventually return the car back to stock and I plan on selling it. You can build an engine that is a little tamer which will help increase durability and reliability. Missing Rocky Mountain Race Week would suck. However, my suggestion would be to do things right rather than fast. You'll benefit in the long run.

Damn dude that sucks. I feel your pain though. At this point, I either get a new engine and start over or bore out my block again since cylinder 5 failed due to the fuel injector washing it out and go with .20 overbore forged pistons. None of it is an easy or cheap fix, but we’ll get through it bud!

Yup, sure does suck but 100% part of racing. New engine is at the top of the list but the current block is already .020 over and forged pistons, rods, and crank. None of them are cheap at all that's for sure! 😉

my vote is the 411 stroker sorry about your pockets😭i just think that build is a big next step for the channel, the drag content would be nuts since itd make so much power

Damm man you put too much money into that block for you to go with a HellCat Oil pump , at the end of the day it’s still a OEM Pump should’ve gone with a High Volume Melling Pump ! Hope you get her up and running asap good luck 👍🏻

Actually, the Hellcat pump pushes quite a bit of oil but the Melling is definitely the move for this new engine! We are getting real close! 💪

Get a redeye long block. Don’t do the MMX 411, because they delete the oil squirters.

If I do go stroker, it'll be the 411 one. The 426 is great for an NA build but for me the rod angle is just a tad to far for boost. 😉
