Cheers. It was blast cleaned, zinc flame sprayed & spray painted with a vinyl top coat.

Great work it looks amazing. Is there any chance you could explain how the bottom hinge works please? I can't for the life of me figure it out. Is there a bearing inside or is it just a hole to slot the pin in?

Thanks. It's a traditional hingeing system so all the weight of the gate is on the ground, the top hinge just stops it from falling forward. The bottom hinge is basically just a little pot in the ground which the gate spins in. The indentation in the pot was made by drilling a short way in with a 25mm drill bit, then after forging the back stile to 25mm round I ground a short point on the end to match the angle of the 25mm drill bit so the end of the back stile and the internal shape of the pot match nicely as a male/female.
