Yeah but he even said it’s a heavy piece. Dave made a basket hilt broadsword in two weeks, and in the same time Jay’s blade...Native Americans used to use those types of jaw bones as clubs to break skulls and other bones...it’s super tough material. They all nailed it.

Its so nice to see them show their skill. Most people forget they have extensive backgrounds and deserve to be judges. This is more proof. So I would like to set a challenge. These 3 make the same weapon to the best of their ability. 2 weeks. And send them to Doug Marcaida for testing. Then on their website, or youtube if possible, have a poll up for the fans to decide who is winner is after Doug gives us his thoughts! Please like this post for them to see it.

Umm...Ben's Blade was the most intricate, complex, and technical by a wide margin. The other two blades are great, but they dont belong in the same league as the Sutton Hoo, which requires FAR more work and much more technical forge welding. It was about the most insane challenge Dave could have issued outside of a Flamberge with the same patterns.

I’ve watched every episode of every season, and this episode was by far my absolute favorite hands down. They are all masters at what they do and it truly showed in this episode. I’ve gotta say, that Ben’s sword was a work of art and was amazed at the detail that went into making that beautiful sword. We need more episodes like this, I’m going to agree with one viewer who said all three make the same thing and have Doug test them all, with one add on, have Jason Knight guest in that episode to join in making it too.

Ben and Dave did change shirts tho; ben's shirt looks similar from the beginning to end, but you can see that the words on the front are different. it just looks that way because they are all black-based shirts. I believe it could be genuine, and it could be that J was too into his work and didn't take a shower for two weeks. Nonetheless, whether the film was taken with a two-week time gap or not doesn't change the fact that they all came up with some amazing blades

Absolutely gorgeous work by all 3 of the judges. Gotta love a 300 layer broad sword though, that pattern was amazing

Ben went so easy on J with his challenge. I have a challenge that I think is doable. A 12Inch competition chopper with a different pattern every 4 inches. As well as having 4 different materials in handle construction. Or maybe use this on next champion of champions Episode

This was from an actual episode, which does show them doing the forging. Can't fit it all in an 11-minute video, and History seems allergic to putting longer ones. Both J and Dave had to quench twice. Dave accidentally stabbed his ceiling. Ben drew out one of his bars way too far and had to use upsetting to get it back to usable dimensions.
