Tulsi or Holy basil (Ocimum sanctum): Holy basil is a fragrant, adaptogenic herb known for its healing properties. It may help prevent hair loss caused by dandruff and itching or changes in hormonal levels. Tulsi benefits hair by controlling four types of fungal strains that may cause dandruff. Tulsi helps maintain moisture in your scalp and improves blood circulation, reduces itchiness and dryness, strengthens the hair follicles and makes the roots healthy. the anti-oxidant present in tulsi is very useful in treating premature graying of hair as well as hair fall.
Fenugreek helps in treating dandruff, itchy and flaky scalp, treating hair loss, triggering hair growth, adding that lost shine to your hair and also helps you regrow your lost hair. While it stimulates blood flow to the scalp, it also nourishes the hair follicles to promote faster and healthier new growth. And, if you are losing hair due to menopause, highly recommend fenugreek since it is high in estrogen and thus will help prevent hair from thinning. ​​Fenugreek may slow down the ability of DHT to attach to your hair follicles. ‌An animal study has also shown that a herbal oil mixed with fenugreek seed can increase hair thickness and growth.
