i'm a Celtic fan but i think he meant on upward trajectory as he's on the up (won leagues in Belgium) went backwards in France, flopped. Celtic need to broaden their ambition beyond winning a league with little or no competition. Need to look to competing in CL beyond Christmas. Smaller clubs accross Europe can do it. Also looking to win the league or conference should be a regular ambition achieved.

They ( and most before) find that the real world of football and outside of Scotland does not give you the insulation of playing for the establishment's darlings, no soft pens ( and pens awarded against you) Yellow and Red cards when merited, no ref or officials assistance, other teams or opposition platers not trying as they are 'peepul', etc etc, they are all like people who live for ages with their parents and have never had to pay dig money then move out and find themselves blowing out their arse coz of the bills, they all get found out very quickly.
