I think this song is abt unrequited love and a woman thinking abt her old times with her guy friends who are (probably??) in love and although she is sad about him not loving her the same she still supports them- I think so because of “he lies him down like a child” refers to how close these two guys are and the “I understood in my life that never anybody else can change ones drive” referring to how she can’t change who he loves and “although I know I’m not out of the woods yet, I feel so good” also referring to how again, she still loves him but she’s happy for him. If that makes sense lol-
