Unfortunately wheein is a little overshadowed in mamamoo like everyone love solar for vocals and energy and hwasa for her fighting against standards and moonbyul for her tomboyish style and no one notices my baby wheein

She is an underrated mamamoo member in general and man ppl are so blind. Everyone are always talking about other members, but like remember Wheein, who protested against climate changes in hip mv? Wheein, who portrayed same-sex relationship in her mv? Wheein, who signs in sign language? Like I love her so much, and she is not any less of a fighter than other girls.

Solar has the best belt and volume, While Wheein doesn't have the dynamics of Solar. When Wheein does solos she has to control her Volume so when she has to sing louder at the climax it has the impact that is needed. If you also notice when Mamamoo does 2 part harmony it's always Wheein and someone else.

Which was a massive mistake on the queendom stage since it did not mesh well with the rest of the girls. That does not mean she lacks hip and waist control.

tbh Wheein had great energy when MMM first debuted. She was excited to perform and did a lot of adlibs and fun improvs in the first few years. But her confidence has died down a lot in recent years despite a significant growth in her singing and dancing skills. It has a lot to do with knetz who kept bashing her and twisting her words against her (fucking thanks yall no good sons of bitches). While the other members are more bold and often call out haters, Wheein tends to just swallow her emotions. As a result, she is struggling a lot with her mental health and even had to take a few breaks from performing. Despite being a gifted singer and dancer, Wheein has been working hard and improving her skills all these years and this video is solid proof of her talents and hard work. But she keeps putting herself at the back. That's why a lot of non-moomoos tend to overlook her when they were first introduced to MMM. All the other members, moomoos and even RBW ceo and staff love Wheein and acknowledge her as the "backbone of Mamamoo". I just hope one day Wheein will finally see how talented and beautiful she is.

Yeah, I think that’s why her facial expressions go hot and cold now often when she performs compared to Hwasa who nails stage presence naturally all the time despite she’s not born to be a dancer. Wheein also reminds me of Chaeryeong if Itzy and Mina of Twice because of how they’re main dancers yet their facial expressions are the reason why fans and netizens find them too boring to entertain because energy is often something they focus on when it comes to dancing.

I'm actually not surprised by this, maybe I would not have expected Hwasa to rank last since she's such an amazing performer but you're viewing this more from a technical and professional angle while for us we're so overwhelmed by Hwasa's charisma and the energy she brings to the performance that we would not notice these details, so it makes sense. Moonbyul stated before that she hates sexy types of dances and hip moves so I guess that contributes to why she lacks in that area, you can't excel in something if your heart isn't in it or if you're forcing yourself to do it. As for Wheein most moos agree that she's the best dancer in MMM on top of being one of the best vocalists in the industry and yet most people from outside the fandom tend to overlook her for some reason.

For me, Wheein really shined as a dancer in gogobebe era😍☺ (esp in the clip with 1million' Mina) Since then I'm sooo attracted to her not only for INCREDIBLE voice, amazing personality, but also amazing dance skills as well (before that I thought they're all just good dancers, with slightly different vibe) So I FULLY agree with your ranking list now!!! Holy sh*t, I never knew mamamoo were that stable in dancing! And I’ve been convinced that they’re a vocal focused group. Who’s to say they can’t do all? They’re literally brimming with talents, each and every one of mamamoo members. i think wheein deserves god tier for her dancing - her more reserved facial expressions and stage performances only started after her announcement of taking some time off because anxiety i think it’s pretty safe to say her anxiety is a big cause in the shift of her liveliness during performances because she used to be extremely energetic and outgoing during performances and shows or just in general but she’s mellowed because of haters and insensitive comments which is so unfortunate - there’s a clear difference in her between older albums and more recent ones i just hope she’s happy and feeling better - i really think she deserves the world

I think Wheein's contained expressions has something to do with her mental health. In the earlier years of Mamamoo, she seemed way happier when performing on stage. She also had better expressions in her predebut dance videos. Now that she's taken a break, I hope she feels happier and more expressive when performing on stage like before. Im a huge moomoo and I agree but also think moonbyul deserved a little more credit. Even though shes not as comfortable in sexy more class girl group dances which limits her. I think shes really talented in what she does well and I like that she focused on that to show her different ability. Also she deserves a little more credit bc while shes not as comfortable in those styles and not as good shes coreographed a good few mamamoo songs, especially near there debut, and i think her coreographing skills even at debut makes her deserve more recognition. I think Wheein should be god tier if the only thing holding her back is her stage performances. She can perform amazing, but she has anxiety and has on multiple occasions not gone on stage because of her mental health. That's why she's really inconsistent when it comes to stage performances with MMM and doesn't promote her solo songs. But the talent and dance skills are there.

FINALLY someone agrees with me. Whenever I say I think Wheein is a better dancer than Moonbyul, people go wild. But I really love to see her dancing. Moonbyul is a goddess, but I totally agree with you. She lacks versatility and she often rushes the choreography. Originally, I really used to think that Wheein was the main dancer and Moonbyul was the lead dancer. It surprises me when people say that they didn't know Wheein was a good dancer because she's so eye catching when she dances -in my opinion- so I've always assumed everyone saw it. LOL Anyway, people seem to often assume that a dancer whose technique is power-centered is a better dancer than a fluid dancer. And it might be true in some cases (because power-centered dancers often have good dynamics, which is also important), but it takes a lot of talent and body control to be fluid too and Wheein just connects everything so well every single time. I wouldn't consider Wheein a fluid dancer tho, I think thet her "fluid feel" comes from her swag. But she's very versatile. I appreciate that too. For Wheein to rank this high coming from a vocal driven group(dance skills not really tapped into until gogobebe/hip), is insane on its own. She has downplayed her facials and stage presence to give her best in singing, to live up to the backbone role (from debut she has led the main chorus while Hwasa and Solar did Adlibs and belts). With her recent dance covers, it seems she is working on refining her skills and improving stamina. This will definitely help her stage presence and expressions to become more prominent.

Why all people permanent saying that Wheen is very underrated: when she was traine she was doing a lot demo song even for others group, so company appreciate her vocal, she wasn't force to change her technique or position like ghey did to Moonbyul(changing her to rapper and singing with high voice); Wheein has a lot collaboration with other artist, she did appear in a lot music show in they earlier years; her song, osts, collaboration are always doinv great in charts; for her mv for solo songs were giving a lot budget (as comparing with Moonbyul's solo mv). All people appreciate her vocal, dance and acting skills. So as for me the most underrated between girls is Moonbyul.
